On removing the back panel I could only see one bearing which I matched at work for a replacement.

On removing the large cross shaped mount at the rear of the drum and the fly wheel that the belt runs around I found only one bearing in it. Are you saying that there should be two sets of bearings in this X shaped unit or, as my previous post suggests, the second set of bearings is in fact between the inner and outer drum requiring the removal of the whole drum unit.

ps The noise is probably more of a loud tapping noise rather than a whine.

The serial number is 211122233 * 80280690000.

I think that’s the correct number. It came off the sticker inside door.

Probably the obvious one considering the fault description. I am getting five flashes when the fault appears. I have read that this indicates a water levelling problem.

Now where do I go?
