Re: Whirlpool AWM1400 – Whole unit moves during fast spin

    Hiya,

Many thanks for coming back, Just wanted to give you an update and advise that this issue is technically resolved.

1 – I checked the filter and found it to be full of fluff, odd as I only cleaned it out very recently. My wife advised she’d washed the dogs blanket, which would account for the fluff.

2 – The pump has started to cavitate.

The fluff clearance has made a difference, the machine doesn’t move during the high speed spin cycle now, which is good.

I will be replacing the drain pump and the dampers, as they are pretty shot and the drum sits quite low down, even with a moderate load.

Once again, thanks. This has turned out on more than one occasion, to be a very useful forum!!

Having had a read of some of the other Indesit/Hotpoint posts you have responded to, I am beginning to get that feeling. Thank goodness I opted for the three year warranty!!. I thought the hotpoint was a step up from the abysmal Candy affair I had previously, which lost the ability to heat water after a year and had a failed pressure sensor after 9 months.

Wish I had just pushed the boat out a bit further and opted for a Bosch!!

Re: Bosch – No drainage of water

    Hello,

Just spent a few minutes clearing the impeller, whatever was blocking it soon cleared after a quick mop up of the area.

I ran the unit through a test and am pleased to report that it is draining correctly once more.

Many thanks for your assistance :).

    Sorry about that :).

I have checked the unit again. The model number is as follows. (I think).

    SG55342GB/17

    Many thanks,
