    Thanks for the reply. I will have a look at the heating elements over the weekend and check continuity etc. Is the exhaust stat a one shot or is it involved in temperature control? I doubted my wife when she insisted that the dryer was not drying as quickly as normal but I’m now convinced there is something wrong. We could have a problem with the washing machine not removing water as efficiently as it once did that is why I was wanted to know what sort of temperature the exhaust air should be. I truth if that stat operates at 58oC a vent temperature of 43/53oC could be normal.

    That with the bananas is mean with me being diabetic. Have put them in post will be there in about three weeks Enjoy!

    Do you know if a universal stat will be ok?

    Hi Mike

    We have kept bananas in the fridge for years but now they have obviously been frozen and are black and mushy toatallyuneatable. The other thing is the 15 degreeC swing in temperature, is that normal?
