Sure.
Just trying to avoid that sinking feeling of something dropping down inside as I remove some screws on the outside – and wondering how to align everything back up to reassemble it!
I guess a dryer isn’t likely to be like that though…

If you should need an engineer please feel free to use the link below on my sig.Did that. And for the record had a good experience. Weirdly, the machine worked when the guy arrived, but he charged a minimum amount and was a pleasure to deal with 🙂

ParticipantThanks for your help. Is the metering area the area behind the left side panel?
[If I go down the engineer route, what makes them ‘approved’ by this site, please?] Edit – Ah it’s ok I just found the link that explains all on this

ParticipantThere is a metal guard secured by torx screws (behind the removed front valence). Attached to it a cabling support that goes to the door. behind the panel is some sound proofing and behind that and VERY difficult to get to still is the hose. But see my above edit – that hose may be nothing to do with the problem?

ParticipantBehind the front valence is only another panel with a hole in its center and some arrows round it. Looks like it can have a special tool inserted into it?!
Anyway, behind LH side panel the float looks fine and there is a translucent hose part of which is revealed (bottom right). I think this is the hose you mean. It had had some (pretty clean) water in it. I also removed what seems to be some kind of guard over an impeller at the bottom of the machine (inside where the water drains from the dish cleaning area). It was clean in there too.
I then decided to run the machine on a rince cycle with the sides off. Penty of water flowing freely as it appears it probably should. I cut the cycle short (reset) and just as it ended (pump still stuck running) I opened the door. It appears the mode it’s stuck in is actually trying to pump water through the rotating arm. It was clearly trying to eject a little water left in the system – it maybe isn’t the main “drain water” mode in which it’s left at the end of the cycle… (hence the quieter than normal sound perhaps). Is this normal operation?
Does help point out where the problem may be?

Thanks greg
Sorry to have to ask –
– is the front plinth supposed to come off by releasing the two screws on what look like end thin plastic caps in either side of the plinth? It didn’t seem obvious to me how the planth is removed…
– also where am I looking for the float? What I’d guess was the flood microswith and it’s actuator seemed free (an unactivated) whilst I had the side off.
