    Dear Chris,

Sorry to have got you all worked up about this. It was not the desired effect I intended. I was hoping to give you guys piece of the action actually.

Anyways, I ought to look somewhere for an engineer to develop this burner but I’ll be back. The Chinese invasion is inevitable, available parts or otherwise.

It could never succeed without a greedy importer.

Well, selling stoves is more ethical than opium anyhow…..

    Dear Greaseater,

How right you are ! The reason why I approached UK was because I knew you had a proud white goods industry before they were wrecked by Italian exports. I know, because I was part of the wrecking crew (I used to work in Merloni & Whirpool Italia). Now maybe only old New World is left, what ??

Sabaf and Defendi will not license us but they will will be more than happy to sell the burners at exhorbitant prices. Now, that doesn’t work very well with our notorious cut-throat policies right ?

How are we going to ship 29 Euro built-in hobs to UK if they are fitted with Italian made burners.

So if you know some one who wants to sell or license a design, OR someone who can design from scratch and willing to do a short stint in some remote province in China, please let me know.

    Much appreciated !!

    Re: Cooker trips circuit breaker

    Hi,

This is probably due to damp in the heating element. It happens all so often in our are where the humidity is more than 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, more than 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time.

Open the BS13 plug and disconnect the green and yellow earth. Put the plug back in the socket and turn on the heating elements full power for 40minutes. If it trips during this process, have the element replaced. If it doesn’t, then keep heating the oven until 40 minutes is up.

Then replace the earth wire. Don’t suggest that you touch any part of the oven chassis during the heating up.

THIS SHOULD NOT BE CARRIED OUT UNLESS YOU RE A TRAINED ELECTRICIAN.

    Buddy,

Don’t get too excited yet. The job is not yet done until you manage to put it back.
