I removed the brg cover and it was covered in this black dust (maybe carbon) When i get a torx bit to remove the bearing should i remove the whole drum to see what damaged have been caused to the shaft or should i just buy a bearing and hope for the best.

Thank you for you reply. Before i decide to have ago at fitting the part myself would you know where the best place is to buy the part from and would you know roughly how much an engineer would cost to fit the part. If i do decide to replace the part myself is it just a matter of removing the top and side panels or has the whole back got to come off.

Thank you for your reply. Would you know where i can get a bearing kit from as i have checked the shop and my model number don’t show. I have taken a picture of the inside of the drum so i was wondering if you could tell by the picture if tne drum does not have the separate rear drum shaft.

I did tip the machine back but no more than 8 inches. I have now put the machine on a synthetics wash and the machine works fine with no error, but if i put it back on bed & bath it just does nothing after the machine has filled.

I put some towels in the machine and set it to bed & bath but after the machine has filled with water the machine just sits there and does nothing.

Sorry mate i did try and add the picture to the post but for some reason it wouldn’t let me. I haven’t got a fiter yet as i hurt my back so couldn’t get down there until yesterday and have a look. So when i removed the filter it was blocked with a plastic jigsaw piece,fluff,some piece of plastic off new clothes and a cocktail stick. I have contacted an ebay seller to see if the sell C00141034 on its own to save a bit of money and i was told i need part number C00045027. So i have looked on hotpoints website and C00141034 looks like the one i want apart from being white. So would you know whats the difference is between C00141034 and C00045027.
Where can i buy a filter for a hotpoint aqualtis aqxxf149pm
I was wondering if anyone knows where i can buy a filter from for a hotpoint aqualtis aqxxf149pm as i have emailed the uk whitegoods store but they don’t stock these and ebay seems to only sell the ones without the pin going through the middle and i don’t know if these will be ok as i got a pin in the middle of mine .
