Eh ?? you may have a double socket but what do you mean by a 13a fused one

the fact the new socket has only one earth connection will not stop it working

have you checked your fuse box to see if any fuses have blown or tripped ?

    Didn’t realise it was confusing!!

What I meant was that there’s a socket on/off switch with a removable fuse docket, this in turn is connected to the double socket (as that is inaccessible as it’s hidden behind the washing machine. And yes the first thing I did was check the fuse box & no issues there

Re: Faulty Russel Hobbs washing machine!

hi, i have tried this, it drained very quickly with the timer going down from 15mins (rinse cycle time) to 9 mins then re-setting to 14mins again! It doesn’t look like a blockage issue now?! any suggestion what else i might try before calling a plumber/leccy or buying a new machine?

    many thanks

Hi, yes I have & cleaned it thoroughly & still no use, sorry forgot to mention I did so. The machine now seems to re-set by a few minutes on the timer when doing a wash or rinse cycle (eg if 5 mins left, it takes much longer & maybe re-sets to 7 mins but still without washing/rinsing clothes properly!!

If it is then the compressor will be seized and not cheap to repair.

It sounds like it is coming from there but since i have basic knowledge i could be wrong. The fridge is only 14 months old & has been well looked after though in that time so no knocks or the like!!
