Both Diplomat and Hygena were a brand name owned by MFI that is now defunct other than the Hygena brand being recycled on some new kitchen products for Argos so far as we are aware.

MFI did not actually make any appliances at all. All they did is have appliances made especially for them to meet the requirements of themselves and their customers.

We know more about Diplomat and Hygena spare parts than many in the industry, if not most as we’ve been dealing with these products for over a decade to the public online with UK Whitegoods but, even before that, we had a vast experience of service and support spanning back twenty years or more. In short, we know this Diplomat and Hygena products incredibly well.

To get spare parts for these machines the first thing that you need to do is to locate the rating plate of the appliance.

Do not trust the instruction handbooks as they are often generic and sometimes will not relate to the exact model you have!

Once you have that, send us that information if you struggle to find the part that you need on the store and we will locate it for you.

To do that simply pop your model number into the search box and hit “search” which will bring up all the results that we’ve tagged as fitting that model.

Do not take chances on ordering spares because it looks the same as a lot of Diplomat and Hygena spare parts do look very similar and yet are completely different as well as not interchangeable. A classic example of this is control knobs for ovens and hobs, they are all often the same or a similar style but are very different.

If you’re not sure, as ever, please get in touch and we will help you sort out what it is you need.

Model Number Format

Model numbers for both brands will normally follow the format of ADP***, AHY**** and so on where the “*” is a digit or numeral. You will find that manuals will often have the likes of “AHY45**” leaving the last digits missing because the manuals are generic.

Often, you will need the full model number from the rating plate, not just what’s printed on the manual.

The likes of “Select 600” and so on is largely useless for identifying spare parts.

Warning: While many Diplomat and Hygena appliances look the same, as they have the same design or style, that does not mean that they are all the same at all and care must be taken even if you see a model that looks like the one you have that does not mean it is the same or that the components that are used are!

It is absolutely essential to identify the model and service numbers etc of the appliance that you have or you can run a very high danger of getting incorrect spare parts!

Requesting Spare Parts

The best, fastest way to find out about spare parts is by email.

We know that some people are sceptical and perhaps don’t even like using email and would rather use the phone but, on the phone, we cannot send you images, links to parts and you can’t send us images of rating plates etc. So whilst it’s technically possible over the phone to get some parts, it is not as accurate, not as fast and not as convenient for you.

Email is just a better way.

Sending us an email to request parts or sending us an image of the rating plate of your appliance is simple, just click this link to do that or the email button to the right. Just let us know what product it is and what you need for it.

We’ll do the rest from there for you or let you know what additional info is needed.

We will get back to you quickly, always.

Where we can we will offer any choices, compatible spare parts etc along with any advice we can give.

It really is that simple.

Important Information

To get to the part number is the most important thing to be doing as, from that you can then cross reference, find any alternative parts and so on as well as ensuring the part you get is correct.

Keep in mind that many, many spare parts are about the same size, look the same but this does not in any way mean that you can fit any as the differences are often slight but, means that they are not interchangeable. So, following the path here from the model number and to the part number is the only way to ensure you get the correct spare part for your Diplomat or Hygena appliance.

There are often scores of versions of a single part, things can change and it can be very confusing, we’re here to help you through that and to prevent errors.

Guessing, using images alone and ordering because parts look like what you need, trying to measure things are by far and away the most common reasons that people get parts wrong. Please don’t do this as it’s hassle and cost you don’t want or need, it’s better to take the time and do it right the first time than try to fix it later.

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that all these products are branded goods so they are NOT all the same!

  1. Hello
My integrated under-counter freezer keeps running after being defrosted 5 days ago, can you guess what might be causing this please? I believe the model is mfi / hygena / diplomat ABA 6340. I have tried several temperature settings to see if that makes any difference but it doesn’t, the motor just keeps running 24/7. This happened once before about 2 years ago and righted itself after about 4 days.
Thanks for any info you can give me

  7. Hello,
I need a replacement grill element for my Hygena/Diplomat AHY 3210 Turbo single oven with the grill inside. I believe it is now obsolete but maybe you have one or can you suggest a suitable compatible alternative?
    Thank you.

  8. I have a Diplomat Hob (Mod. APL1208. Type MCS703) which has a faulty regulator switch.
The hob ring that this switch controls has a dual element and when switched on the middle of the hob is working and then when you turn the switch on again the outer ring now comes on and gives a bigger hob surface area (combined middle and outer hob ring). At the moment only the middle hob ring area is working.
Please can you advise if you have this part available and the price please. Thanks.

  9. Hi, I need a new ignition for a Diplomat gas hob.
The only numbers I can find on the base plate are G20-20 mbar. These don’t coincide with your A references.
