A SEVEN-MONTH-OLD kitten had the fright of its life on Halloween night after going for a 30 minute spin in a washing machine. Pilchard climbed inside its owner’s machine unnoticed as they put in the washing.
The washing machine was unwittingly switched on while Pilchard was still inside.
Pilchard was “˜fished out’ halfway through the 40 degree Celsius cycle only when they heard him meowing for help.
Joy and Ian Harold of Gannal View Close rushed Pilchard to the vets thinking he was going to die.
But as it turns out Pilchard, who has now been renamed Persil, only lost one of his nine lives and is back to his playful self again after his unexpected spin.
