It has been reported that Indesit will begin trials of (we presume) a Hotpoint Aqualtis washing machine that will be installed in 150 UK homes to facilitate a shift towards low-carbon economy.

Indesit have issued a recall on some of its Indesit and Hotpoint washing machine models that were featured on last week’s BBC Watchdog program for the risk of “exploding”.

Washing machien models from both Indesit and Hotpoint have once again been highlighted for so-called “exploding” where the inner drum appears to split on high spin and tear through the machine often casing substantial damage.

Hotpoint, which is owned by Indesit, have issued a safety notice or recall on faulty Hotpoint dishwasher models that may prevent a fire risk sold in the UK in 2006 and 2007 as we previously pointed out in this report last month.

Several forum users have picked up on what could be a potential fire risk in some models of Hotpoint Aquarius dishwashers made in 2006 and 2007 which may or may not be subject to a recall.

It appears that there’s no let up in exploding appliances through poor design and on tonight’s BBC Watchdog it is Hotpoint’s latest Quadrio fridge freezer models that have been highlighted as being a potential fire risk.
