The UK arm of Hisense have reported a turnover of £373.8m for 2024, a sizeable increase from £300.4m it reported in 2023 with pre-tax profit rising from £2.8m to £3.7m.

Tumble Dryer Fire Risk
Just before the weekend, we were alerted to a large recall of various branded heat pump tumble dryers being recalled due to a fire risk, and owners are advised to stop using them immediately. This affects models from Candy, Caple, Haier, Hoover, Iberna, Lamona and Montpellier.
Hisense Open Up App
This is something that we do go on about at times, especially as the Smart Home is expected to become a very mainstream thing in the next few years, with huge projected growth. Hisense have decided to open up their app a bit, at least to Google.

It seems that Midea has acquired the Teka Group, which includes Kuppersbusch and Intra, demonstrating that Midea is really looking to make an impact in the European market.
