We heard a rumour the other day that Pacifica Group (aka 0800 Repairs or JTM Services) had bought Megan Technical Services and, turns out the rumour was true.
Pacifica have indeed bought Megan Technical that has offices in Bolton, Leeds and Gateshead. All of the firm’s staff, including 27 field engineers, will be transferred to Pacific’s appliance services division.
Megan of course have been a long standing (big) service agency carrying out a lot of warranty repairs for the Electrolux Group and we believe Whirlpool also an was founded in 2001.
Meanwhile the trade scuttlebutt is that Pacifica under it’s service arm have been slowly making inroads into covering many areas for Electrolux and possibly others where coverage has become an issue.
Paul Feek, who we know from running the 0800/JTM service side of things, told the press: “Over the last three years the group has implemented and delivered a new operation strategy, and the smooth acquisition of Megan Technical Services will allow us to deliver further growth and employment opportunities across the UK.
“The addition of experienced field engineers to our existing workforce will significantly increase the group’s capacity to deliver our core services to customers and extended policyholders, as well as strengthen our relationship with one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the world.”
Dave Marshall, managing director of Megan Technical Services, said: “We have enjoyed a great deal of success over the past 16 years and I am confident that the sale to the Pacifica Group will continue this trend.
“Our team of engineers are vastly experienced and will be a great addition to the Pacifica Group’s workforce.”
