Re: Advice needed – Safety Issue!
I have a DWF30 that caught fire on Friday night. The engineer came out from Hotpoint today to write a safety incident report and said it’s not a Hotpoint….it’s a Bosch! He said Hotpoint bought these machines from Bosch and just branded them Hotpoint…..hence the reason why the DWF30 doesn’t come under the Hotpoint safety recall!!! It DOES however carry the correct numbers, if it were branded Bosch, to be recalled under their safety recall!! In essence….DWF30’s have not been recalled because they dont exist on either Hotpoint or Bosch’s systems! Neither company could recognise the machine as theirs when we called them! But take it from me…they are faulty!!! We were lucky to have been in the house at the time of the fire and were able to put the flames out!
