I ssume you got D7 in the correct way round

look at the electrolytic capacitor and look for bulged tops

check the lead to the display board at the top. Take the connectors off and put them back

    thanks Dave,

D7 in right way round, also the new board has no D7 but same issue with that one.

removed and reconnected connector on the display board.

capacitors all look okay on both boards, no bulging etc.

Is there an internal fuse or thermal trip?

one thing I’ve noticed with old board when power turned on there is a dull beep, with new board power on there is a louder beep?? But still both not showing any display 🙁

    thanks

new board thay have uprated the diode so they dont blow

the cable we are interested in is the noe from the power board to display. check its in the correct plug in the power board, check there is no sighn of damage to it all the way to the display
after that all i can think about is the display board

you could as a long shot disconnect both heaters. The wash and the dryer one. This causes display loss on some machines

Hi all, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I had exactly the same issue and, thanks to your suggestions, it cost me just a couple of pounds to fix my Beko washer dryer with a new D7 diode! Cheers

I’ve just registered for this forum as I want to express my gratitude to all those who have contributed to the Beko No Power thread. I had exactly the same problem with my Beko Washer Dryer (totally dead) and thanks to the advice on the forum a £2.50 D7 diode has fixed the problem. So thank you all – especially Dave for his detailed information.

    Hi Dave

Hope you’re good. I replaced the D7 diode in my Beko WDR7543121W Washer Dryer in July/August and it solved the problem. Unfortunately the other day, whist the dryer was on, I smelt some burning. The drum had stopped moving but the machine’s display was still lit up. However, I switched the power button off and it would not switch on again. The plug fuse seems to be fine and I replaced the D7 as well as D6 diodes but still no joy. Do you have any thoughts on what the most likely problem is please? I haven’t yet tested all the other components. Thank you in advance for any advice!

well first off check power is getting to the board

    have you checked socket ?

then look for the fusible resistor normally a low ohm 3w resistor under 50 ohms. see if thats blown

after that come back and report

Hi all, I had the same problem and took the advice. I’ve only signed up to say thank you, as you’ve saved me hundreds of pounds. I bought a soldering kit as a complete novice and managed to fix it. Thanks again.

    Hi All
Had same issue with WDR7543121 Washer / Dryer where it would not turn on. Fortunately found this site this morning. D7 checked out OK, the problem was D6. Searched for replacement – found a company called Switch Electronics in Hull, drove there and collected the replacement for £0.17 ! They do also sell on ebay. Everything working again – many thanks – Mal

Had the same problem with my BEKO WDIX7523000 Washer Dryer

Replacing the D7 diode fixed it and it’s now all working

Clearly a systemic problem and thousands of washing machines will prematurely end up in landfill as a result. Not very eco.

to be fair the new boards have been modified with a much stronger diode. its one of those faults that only shows itself when it gets out in the field
