Just renewed my contract about 6 months ago, the minimum contract for a mobile one like I have got is for 3 years, if I can change it to another one then count me in.

Bit of a catch 22. I would be interested if the rate was good.

May have a lead on this.
Does anyone know what the costs are for the terminals roughly? If possible two or three prices.
I know Martin uses one but I don’t know of anyone else.
The card charges are pretty easy to get a deal on. 😉

Following on…
Just got some prices and it’s good, so I’m going for this! 🙂
Terminal cost is £22 with roaming.
“With roaming” means that the terminal switches automagically from one network to another, in other words, it just works wherever there’s a signal whether it’s Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone or whatever, it doesn’t care what network it uses.
Debit card transaction, irrespective of the value, 13p.
But here’s the kicker, this is a very good rate, credit cards are attracting a rate of 1.1{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, which is really good.
The dude is coming in to see me this afternoon to get NW signed up for it but if you are interested please let us know and either myself or Lawrence will get them to get in touch with you.

Incredibly good, I’d have to turn over 10 grand a week to get that rate from Streamline. More info please…. 😀

I should have more info later this afternoon Martin and I will post it up when I have it.
But yes, it is an incredibly good deal and why I’ve jumped at it. For the terminal it’s £2 more a month than a basic payment gateway costs!
And, the rate for cards is just superb.
The scheme operator is http://www.payzonecards.co.uk
The deal Lawrence and I have been trying to get is for all TA members so they get a preferential rate over all, terminal and charges and it looks like I might have got it.
I’ll try to get more details on the terminals but it seems as if they may be NFC compatible for contactless payments as well!
More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near_field_communication
Basically, it’s coming. You may have seen it in McDonalds and places like that.

This is one of the member benefits we have been working on for a while and its great to see it pulled off finally. See we do listen 😉
Now If anyone is wondering do I really need a terminal ,let me tell you why I use one .
By advertising cards accepted on our website I know for a fact that generates more business.
At the end of every day I do an end of day banking on my terminal ,that means all that days transactions are banked ,no cheques to go to the bank just a click of a button ,that in turn improves cashflow 😀 .
It looks professional with customers which gives you an edge ,and every edge counts .Its the little things that count ,and I find having card payment facilities an absolute must now and would never go back.

The guy came.
He did all the paperwork.
Terminal in about two weeks, delivered and good to go.
(Forgot to ask about NFC :?)
He got the rate slightly wrong, it’s 1.2{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} on cards! I could forgive.
Also, depending on how many we get signed up, the rates may come dow but it would be a very small amount.
Anyone that wants one just send details to me and I’ll forward.

Thanks lads… Get them to give me a shout… although I expect little or no card transactions but it doesnt hurt at that price just to have the facility.

Ken to confirm is this a one off fee of £22 or a monthly rate? 😳
