Ken, just been mulling over the paper work and notice that payzone do charge for this.
PCI compliance service fee (annual) scan £100 /SAQ £30
Non compliance charge £17 per month
Adminstration £20 a year.

Damned if you do and damned if you dont who ever you use.

All I see is banks making money here, not about protecting the consumer! :rolls:

I was sure John said to me it was just a part of the deal, I could have been mistaken though I guess.

And yes, this protects the banks from fraud.

To claify I have just spoken to John

First year PCI compliance is free
they do all the paper work on your behalf.
Second year + pay annual subs of £17.00, half the cost of all the ones I have seen.

With this you get Free insurance of 60K to cover you against fraud transactions.

Monthly statments on line.

Steve, there is a minimum spend of £10 a month so if you put through nothing, you still get charged £10 on top of your monthly fee. If you put through £7, you’ll get charged the difference of £3.

Yes your right. I had a bit of an issue with the rep that came to see me. It appears he told me one thing and wrote down another on the contract.

Told me 36 mths and put 60 mths down.
Told me no MMSC, £10 put down
Told me no extra charge to use with online shop, turns out there is.

So I canceled the contract after negotiations failed.

That rep. no longer works for them.
Had an account manager come to see me today to see if he could put right the wrong.
Got 36 mths
And use on online shop for free.
Result

I asked the rep about this and it’s £10 worth of charges that need to go through not £10 spend.

To date I have now had 3 reps visit. The first 2 told some whoppers the third seemed to be better informed. The £10.00 mmsc still stands and isn’t £10.00 spend but £10.00 worth of charges. I haven’t decided which way to go as another company has offered similar rates, 12mths contract and no mmsc.

I have opted for Nochex.com which has a ‘Send Money’ option that the customer can fill in and is set up in such a way that you can take cards over the phone…. 2.9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} + 20p but no monthly charge.
