Oh yeah I read about that on the DASAnet site the other day, what a silly, silly and unproffesional idea to have that as a seperate site IMHO. And any information like that has to be presented with text and a short biography type thing or it’ll just look crap and who’s going to do that I wonder?
Not my call though so I’ll just toodle off and leave it be.

Why the fuck has Walter (the hair) Russell announced yesterday that a DASA council meeting will be held on Friday 9th September in Manchester “as agreed at the July meeting” ?
The day before the UKW meeting, and announced only yesterday !!

And they had the temerity to postpone their last meeting so some could attend the NESN meeting instead.
If they have any common decency and by means of respect for this site, they should do the same again. Lets see if they can do that small thing, I would say there are enough members affected by that move to warrant another rescheduling.

I have noted it on the dasanet site Alex where it was posted last night by Walter.
Mentioning that this could effect the attendence to both meetings.
It will also cause some people travel problems at the least as they will want to attend both.
I have my own thoughts on who decided on the date, and if my suspicions are correct it goes along rather nicely with a little snippet I learned today of one of those people, enough said on that though 😉
By the way, wtf does temerity mean ? I didn’t think us down yer spoke posh ! 😆

My problem is I had a private education for a little while, and it stuck.

If any one wants lessons they need to watch Scrapheap Challenge on C4 or Discovery when the barley pickers from Debbon is on.

It should be, maybe I should have produced the minutes sooner, they are written up now just waiting for them to be typed. Just been too busy, hassled, pissed off with staff and ex wives pissing me about.

And three months or so on, what progress is there to report?
I read tonight that there is no online DASA members list. Therefore there is no self-promotion going on for DASA. In fact there is no promotion that I can see going on at all other than some tenuous ties with Lux, Whirlpool and AMDEA, all of whom have their own agendas. Some of it I have stumbled upon or worked out pretty much, have you? It really isn’t rocket science when you learn what’s going on.
The membership continues to fall, I expect that we’ll see more that fall by the wayside before too long.
We still have no clear aims or objectives to work towards.
Orbit may as well not have been bothered with from what I can see as there’s been no input.
In so far as I can see there has been no representation made or investigation of Part P or the new CORGI legislation. In fact there’s little if any reference to it on the DASA forums.
This mythical hotline to government, where is it, what is it?
Quite frankly if nothing happens with DASA in the very near future and it gets it act together and actually produces something you may as well call it a day IMO. And I know that many of the officers and council are busy, but they’re the very people that agreed to try to save DASA, the least they could do is honour that promise.
I take onboard Dave’s reasons for not rejoining DASA and, I have to say, that presently I cannot see any valid reason to be a part of DASA nor can I give anyone good cause to part with the money. So, once again, I ask the same questions and, yet again, I really don’t expect an answer to them because I cannot provide them either.
So, what happens now then?
I would have normally posted this in an open forum, either on DASA or here but I’ve refrained, again.
