In my view it is extremely unprofessional to undermine non-registered repairers in this way. To imply that a £45 annual fee and “4 minute online assessment” will guarantee a better level of service is questionable.
I doubt they have any evidence that their registered DATs provide a superior service to non-registered technicians and their email may well therefore fall foul of the Advertising Standards code.

Just as long as it isn’t cheap or gay looking.

Well done Lee, it’s not too often you get one two liner that insults a minority group and an entire nation in one post.
I shouldn’t brag about it though.

Anyone had the new email on EEEsafe? Or is my inbox the only lucky recipient?
Powering ahead with DASA….. involving housing associations, councils and lobbying the Government….. talking big to everyone else but no word on here.Involve the trade that will do the work and they might get involved too. And who is Robert Alexander? When is he coming on UKW to explain EEEsafe? If it’s the next big thing, then promote it here.

Steve Hi,
Not quite sure why you ask questions to a person who isn’t on these forums to answer but there we go. You could probably get hold of him via his website to ask such questions?
If you read back, it clearly says that the WTA were spoken to regarding EEESafe but have chosen not to support or promote it currently. Therefore, I would hazard a guess that Mr Alexander has continued with EEESafe without the support of the WTA or the forums of UKWhitegoods because to be blunt, although this might be the ‘premiere’ of forums within the industry, it’s a very small place in reality with probably only 50 or 60 regular, pro-active participants at the most (I am excluding those that simply log on to get a question answered then you don’t see them for a while).
Given that the WTA have already rejected Mr Alexanders advances, I believe it would be a pointless task for him to come here to try and promote something that a handful will desecrate when the trade is huge, hundreds / thousands of people involved with it that do not visit here either due to knowledge or just the way these forums are sometimes :rolls:
Kind Regards.

Reading back through the entire thread and Graham (techi) has told us quite enough. Both he and Robert have made their representations to us all here on UKW over the last 18 months or so. Robert attended a UKW meeting a while back so has not been shy in coming forward. And the Q & A Graham posted tells all I need to know, my curiosity now fully satisfied. 😉

Not what I meant, Martin…. 😕
I’ve read the posts and now I am satisfied just like you. If that’s how you meant it… 😉

The Eeesafe forum is interesting in that, it appears to me anyway, all posts are scrutinised before being published or not as the case may be. 🙁

Oh that’s interesting, you would happen to have the information to back up that claim I should guess?
No, thought not. (Asked and answered to save time and more of your BS)
Probably because it is not true and you do not have access to the analytics that would tell you that.
Although, for you Ade, any chance to have a pop at the WTA or UKW is not to be missed is it? Even when it’s blatant lies you tell. :rolls:

Good Morning kwatt,
We don’t need Analytics? We are not talking about daily traffic visits etc, we are talking about the amount of Trade Members that actually use this site often.
Anyone only has to go through the threads and posts etc and you’ll see the same handful of names actively posting everywhere, in all or most topics, threads and debacles frequently (I was being conservative with 50-60). That’s where we draw that conclusion from and the fact that most users if you pay attention visit, post questions in tech or parts help and that’s about the most of their involvement.
We apologise if you assume it’s a pop or a dig, it was merely said to point out to the original poster (aquaelectric) that the industry is larger than these forums and / or the WTA, that’s why maybe other companies, organisations and businesses are doing very well without the backing of UKW or the WTA and don’t really have to come here to promote, justify or sell anything. That’s all.
Kind Regards.
