Softus, sorry but I’m not prepared to put up with your clearly argumentative behaviour any longer. You clearly just want a ruck and that’s fine, go elsewhere for one.

I am now sadly removing your access to UKW and if you want to discuss this then do so by email. You have the dubious honour of being the first person with which I have felt compelled to take this action with on this website.

A simple Google will tell you what trolling is, amazing really that you can be so smart with the comments yet fail to use a simple search engine.

And stopping rubbish such as you have posted is what moderating a forum or email list is all about and I should know as I’ve been doing just that for over ten years now.

Thank you for your poor input and goodbye.

    Regards

    K.

    Re: Indesit IDL500(in the pink)

Don’t feel awful Millymog. Softus got Softus kicked off the forum, it wasn’t your fault at all, or anyone else’s for that matter, with the aggressive behaviour.

As it says above, “Welcome to the UK Whitegoods web forums have fun and please be nice!” and Sotus seemed incapable of adhering to the bit in bold. Hence, in the interests of other people using the site I’m afraid that the kind of comments being posted could not be allowed to continue. Apart from which I had recieved several complaints about some of Softus’s postings from other members.

He was asked to tone it down, didn’t, got the inevitable result of that I’m afraid. It’s sad and I didn’t want to to it, but it needed done I’m afraid.

    Re: Indesit IDL500(in the pink)

May I thank those that took up cudgels upon my behalf. Softus was getting very personal I have to say, and he levelled some of his vitriol straight at me. Yes he was out of order, but I would have handled it. Never mind, he needed his comeuppance I suppose.

I didn’t ask that he be removed, however it may have been just as well, I was up for a fight and would have kept at it, in perhaps another subject heading. I may beg to differ on some occasions, but in this case I could see Softus was trying to make an issue out of something, and perhaps leading Millymog on a wild goose chase. Poor lass is stressed enough regards the dishwasher and I’m sure she doesn’t need anyone making bullets for her to fire.

I realise he meant well in supporting Millymog, but the way he addressed himself and his total display of arrogance tainted the subject. (It is bad enough the inside of the dishwasher being tainted).

Please don’t dispair Millymog, by all means insist upon a service visit, or perhaps a letter explaining why this has happened, and then use that as a tool to seek a discount or to reject. But please don’t use Softus as your council for the prosecution.

    You can’t directly I’m afraid.

You need to host them on another server and use the image tags above to link to the picture 🙂

Use an off-site image host. Imageshack.us is a popular one

Email your pictures to me Millymog and I will post them here straight away if you like?

Incidentally, another thought crossed my mind on this. If you take the baskets out and leave them in bright sunlight, they will turn white again. Only snag is that you will need to wait at least til next spring for strong enough sunlight…but it will work…honest! 😀

But if you go out into the sun at this time of year you’re likely to turn blue :rotl:

    Re: Indesit IDL500(in the pink)

    Hi again
I got an email back from indesit (6 days later) and they have basically said

Discolouration of internal parts of the Dishwasher – Discoloured Baskets / Dispenser Flaps etc.
and INTERNAL WHITE PLASTIC PARTS of the MACHINE TURNING ORANGE or PINK.

Dark red coloured earthenware can sometimes produce this effect by migration of the colouring.

More common, is dishware being loaded with large amounts of tomato ketchup / or fruit juices present or the precipitation of the iron content in the water causing staining because of insufficient detergent and/or rinse aid dosage.

The staining is not harmful but cannot be removed.

Did i not know this originally????

Well if you didn’t, you do now 😕

I think you will find though that the discolouration will subside if you stick to decent detergent and rinse aid plus top-up the salt regularly. 🙂

Come to think of it, you never actually offered an explanation as to what may have caused it did you? Was it lashings of tomato ketchup as many suspect or did you rinse the plates first anyway?
