The original post when that call was missed was in March Bill, perhaps you were added after that date or you updated your postcodes/appliance types after ?

KeymasterRe: Look at what you’re missing
I cleared down the missed calls again today and added the new information to my map. In 20 days we’ve gotten a further (approx) 350 calls through the system.
Some of the code is being reworked to allow the rotation of those that appear “top” in the dropdown so it is a bit more fair on everyone, bear with us on that, as well as a couple of other little changes. We hope these will be in place soon.
For your enjoyment though, here’s the map. Bear in mind that the map shows postcode districts where a call has been missed (pushpin) and successful (coloured blob) it does not show multiple hits and misses on this view so each point could represent several calls.
Enjoy.

20 days later and about 300 or so call later, cleared again.
The map above has also been updated to reflect the additions.

got a load of missed calls(pushpins) in my area on your map, but i dont seem to be getting any of the calls sent through to me 😕 have i be missed or something?
regards tonyDecember 12, 2005 at 2:09 pm #129089kwatt
KeymasterDepends on what products you do Tony. For example if you don’t do gas and it’s a gas appliance it still shows as a missed call. Likewise, if you don’t do certain manufacturers etc.
There’s a whole load missed in my patch as well and I’m glad to miss them. 😉

I couldn’t find the thread that the conversation was on originally so I’ll just post here.
The Repairs@ module has had a little facelift this afternoon that includes a randomisation of the top slot as was requested and agreed.

KeymasterRe: Look at what you’re missing
Finally! I’ve been trying to get this done all morning along with other stuff.
I was going to try and do this on one map, but it was just getting silly with the amounts that were on the map so I’ve split it into two this time. Bear in mind that there is only one pushpin per postal sector, that could represent multiple calls within that sector.
First on is the successfully passed calls…

And then the misses!! Pay attention for those that read this and are losing work…

This module has been live for a year now, its just begining to show what it can do. The Yell.com advert has increased traffic and as you see the areas of repeated use indicated.
BUT, bear with us. The uptake in all things electronic is advancing. More and more people are using the inta thingy to shop from home, our turn will come.
What we will continue to do is expand the module and keep it up to date in order to handle the volumes we all wish for.
Thinking ahead, as we always do, we have a plan to increase the members of repairs@. How?
See you at our meeting 😉

Still waiting for my first call from this despite having pins in the map. Can’t think they are gas as most of the area is rural with no supply and I get about 1 call a year for it.
I live in anticipation

KeymasterRe: Look at what you’re missing
It very much depends on the skillsets and the products just what you can get from Repairs@ and of course there’s the old, “what comes in” factor. Bear in mind though that those are pretty small scale maps and the cluster around even Glasgow (just because I know it) represents about a 30-40 mile radius, at least. The maps are not for accuracy, just as a guide.
I was talking to Sean about this last night with regardto one of the guys that gets not a lot from Repairs@ despite being in a busy conurbation. But he doesn’t do gas, doesn’t do refrigeration and doesn’t want US appliances which puts a fair chunk in what the chap does do. Then he has as much chance on a random basis as another three people for all the common stuff that everyone wants.
That was put in plcae to make it a level playing field, which it is as much as it can be without spending thousands upon thousands of quid on it to analyse the stats and allocate according to workload. However I think that most people on Repairs@ have had something from it by now and I hope you get more, even Bryan.
The point is that there’s a lot of calls going through the module and, as Kev says, it’s only going to increase through time and recommendation.

KeymasterTheir appears to be some missed calls north of us if you let me know whats being missed I ll see what we can do
February 6, 2006 at 5:51 pm #129098kwatt
KeymasterSorry Jason I missed this.
If you let me have the postal areas you want I’ll add them to your profile in Repairs@, no problem.
And there’s over 500 calls through the module since we cleared it on the 15th of Jan again. 😉
