Unplug machine. Lower end of drain/waste hose into a bucket. Let gravity allow the water to run out. Sounds like a coin/hairgrip etc jammed in drain pump impellor. Check in filter (have a towel handy as there will always be some water left in machine). If clear then possibly pump has failed.

I have the exact same problem! The additional problem I have is that I’ve lost the user manual and now haven’t a clue where the filter is(!) – there’s no obvious door that might open to reveal a filter. Can someone enlighten me before I rip the thing apart searching? Thanks 🙂

The pump is behind the bottom plastic kick panel. Simply ease the panel off using a screwdiver on its top edge (no force required). The pump filter cover is accessed by turning anti-clockwise. (Have a few towels ready if the machine is full of water ‘cos it will flood out!!)
When you have dried up, check the impellor behind the filter is clear and free to rotate. Reassemble in reverse order
Job done!

Thank you all SO MUCH – it fixed my machine! yey! blinkin 5p piece.
I’d done a trip to the laundrette with one batch of washing (just in case) but thank God it looks like I won’t have to do another (touch wood).

KeymasterAriston AVD149 or Ariston AVG12?
Can someone help me please? I can’t decide what to buy, Ariston AVD 149 or Ariston AVG 12? 🙄 Is it someone here that knows which of the models is better? I would really appreciate your help. Thankyou 🙂
