    Re: margherita 2000 troubleshooting

    Hi Mojo,
1st, cancel the error. Switch off, turn dial to a black dot and switch back on. The slow flash should return……. Now switch off and reset the programme, and start. When the fault occurs and the dial starts clunking round, the power light will flash in a pattern, ie 1234 pause, repeat. This will help us identify the problem.

If you can hear water running through the soap drawer and not appearing in the drum I would check that the drain hose is not either flat to the floor or that the end of the pipe is not below the wash level of the water – the machine will syphon the water through.

Please stop shouting at us πŸ˜€

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

Its behind the kick board. Put a towel down as well – the machine is never quite empty.

    Anybody has manual for AL68X?

The dial keeps spinning and the led blinks slowly for 8 times after 1 cycle of rinse, i.e. fill up with water, drum spinning, drain water, status led off and dial start spinning.

    Thanks,
    toblo

No repair/service manuals are available I’m afraid πŸ™

It’s likely your problem is associated with the Heating circuit or Control Module if that helps ❓

If not try getting one of our local recommended engineers to take a look using this link Repairs@

    Re: margherita 2000 troubleshooting

    Hi white good gods…

    I have a problem with me AWD 12 ‘advantage’….

It stoped working, sometimes the knob just keeps turning round.

I cleared out the thingy at the bottom (found a 5p).

I can reset it so it fast flashes once then slow flashes when switched on, on a black stop dot.

I can then turn it to a programe and start it. It flashes quickly then on all time. The water starts filling (cold) then either stops, or does a few turns then stops. It does not seem to fill enough.

I can reset it sometimes and get it to spin and pump the water.

I just dont seem to be able to get it running properly.

Any advice welcolme before I ring a dude with a van.

The flashes will be in a pattern – 1,2,3,4 pause, repeat for example. Count the flashes and report back.

    Re: margherita 2000 troubleshooting

    Hi,

Any fast flashing it does is just mental and only superman I guess could work it out.

sometimes if I get it on the dot and swithch on, the LED just goes nuts. I did think about recording it on my camera then veiwing it frame by frame on me PC but then I decided that was just too nurdy.

I took the back off and all connections to the temp sensor seemed fine, couldnt find me multimeter though to check the sensor.

And why dont they design these things with a removable ‘filter’/’pump cover’ in a place that you can get something under it to catch the water! just 20mm to get a tray under would do it.

    Cheers
    Leigh

    Re: margherita 2000 troubleshooting

Almost certainly a computer board failure, given what has been discussed so far. A replacement board is Β£109.83 plus VAT, and you need to swap the eeprom chip yourself. Part number is C00080668 should you be interested.

You need to weigh this up against the purchase cost of the appliance and the extensive comments about the quality of these appliances (the Indesit “W” series is the same machine) to be found within these forums.

Personally, I believe that there are far superior machines out there.
