The whole of the bar area from the mill wheel up…Is that alot of it then? Goatboy feels the need for the weed!
Well I suppose it is a fair chunk of the Bar area. There are about 3 tables as you go up the slope on the left, and there is an area on the right as you enter the Restuarant. There are enough of us I think to justify a Temp increase in the smoking area.

There are now, so far as we know, 53 people confirmed as attending the meeting on Friday with 25 or so on the Thursday evening.
If anyone has not yet let me or Dave know that they are attending could you please do so as soon as you possibly can so that we can organise seating and lunches please.
Thanks
K.

OK, so I was going to get up early on Friday, and drive down to Sibson.
Probably joining the M6 near Preston about 7ish.
What’s the traffic like around Brum on a Friday morning?

An absolute Joke.
Avoid Junction 8 of M6. Will pay to take the new toll road and cut across to join the M42 just south of Litchfield
Have you considered either Woodhead Pass to Sheffield, down M1 leave at Castle Donnington just below Nottingham to A42. Turn left at A5 near Tamworth. Or maybe M62 & Down M1. I Find Woodhead pass is quicker from Hyde to Bristol. But to be honest the best way is the M6 Toll from Cannock.

Cheers Alex!
It’s 20 min to the M6 for me, but about 1 hour an 20 min to the M1 🙁
I think the toll road sounds best. I’ll have a look on multimap later.

The Sheffield end of the woodhead at the Flouch crossroads is a nightmare at the moment.
We were stuck there 90 mins to do 4 miles last week, don’t come the Sheffield way.

Quite a journey to herd goats I have to say but here is the best route with guaranteed fodder and water to keep them happy all the while:-
Head south through the Forest of Rossendale, up over Calderbrook to pick up the Pennine Way and head towards Glossop and the Snake Pass. Head south towards Buxton and the Wye Valley.
You can avoid the higher ground of the Peak District if you stay on the western edges towards Leek. Keep slightly east of the smokey Potteries along the Trent Valley until you catch a whiff of the hops coming from the direction of Burton -on -Trent and the rich arable fields of Leicestershire are dead ahead!
Head due south through the fields of Swadlincote towards Sheepy Magna
then gather your flock across the hedgerows and into SIBSON. 😀Mike the Manager @ The Millers has been forewarned your special request for plenty of straw bedding and a water trough is laid on too!
(Estimated time if you set off now = 17 days 5 hours 30 minutes)

Errrr….thank you?
I just traveling by myself though; and do you remember what Bill said? Us goats will eat anything. So I’m loading my glove-box up with bottles of coke, red-meat butties and crisps. 😛
Thanks for the heads-up Kevin

I’ll be going the M1 way, slightly longer journey but it takes me 5 minutes to reach M62 from home, over to M1 then straight down avoiding the M60/ M6, and the nightmare of Birmingham altogether.
