F$sackin’ permissions!!!
Anyways, on with the show and, the next “big thing”…
The new format, apart from apparently p1ssing some people off, allows me more than a little latitude to do some cool stuff, like develop stuff that might actually help.
First up (apart from fixing some broken bits) is to mine the forums for data and then to present that in a way that’s intelligible to us mere humans.
Now, as you would possibly expect by now, I’m going to p1ss people off again. It’s a bad habit, can’t seem to give it up for some reason, by presenting something more than a search although, in it’s heart, it’s just a search really. Just smarter.
Essentially though, the concept is to build a technical database from the information within the forums. It should be fun and I may require some helping hands at some point to make it all work.
It will hopefully p1ss off a few manufacturers though.
Now, all I need is a software and electronics whizz kid that wants to reverse engineer some stuff just to stick it to the man… 😆

There was a link in the fridge section to Maytag which was borked but I removed it as I cannot find where to get manuals online now, I will make some enquiries in the morning to see if it is still available.

Not sure if it just me or IE but I have had the same thing happen twice now.
If I am making a longish post I find that after it reaches a certain length, every time I enter a word in the posting box it shoots back to the top of the post and I have to scroll back down, enter another word then it shoots back up again.
It has just happened on a post I was making in Trade Tech. Eventually I had to give up, copy what I had typed, paste it into Word, complete my ramblings and the copy and paste it back into a fresh post.
So, is it just me?

Nope, can’t say I’ve ever had that happen.
But then, I use IE as a desperate last resort or when there really is no other option available and I’m forced to use it. 😉

That’s Google Analytics, completely harmless.
I would suggest that you trust The Google. 😉

Has someone tweaked something, just got that annoying ‘you cannot make a post so soon after your last one’ or words to that effect. 😥
First time I have seen it on the new platform.

Nope.
The flood thing is still there, just nowhere near as severe.
