just laughing at all these so true.. had customer start cleaning the sides n top of dryer while I’m working on it today .. then going around the top lip with damp cloth while its live and I’m trying to test it.. stupid..

I had a customer cancel a call saying she had cured the fault herself.

The fault was her American type fridge freezer was tripping the mains trip switch.

I asked how she had found the fault and cured the problem and she said we just plugged it in to another circuit that does not have a trip switch fitted.

I advised she had not cured the fault and if it trips the mains it is unsafe to use.

Her reply was well it’s working now and we do not need a visit.

I hope she has not cancelled her life insurance as she is still breathing and does not need it.

When they leave a condom in the washing & call you when the machine fails to drain – had one yesterday , lovely!!

laughing at all these stories, witnessed most myself, one that sticks in my mind was last year… dishwasher fault… music blasting in the kitchen, told me the dog wont hurt me and left it in the kitchen with me, as soon as i was laid on the floor the dog must of thought i was looking for a quick shag as it pounced, pushed it off it pounced on me again, i came out of that house looking like the abomnible feckin snowman…customer said eeeeee im sorry about that.

To continue my rant today (two in the annoying tenants)

Regular customer and a friends to be honest.

My dishwasher isn’t pumping out, do you think it’s time to get a new one to solve the problems we’re having?

This is the third call in 5 weeks. The last two were, a bit of broken glass and a ice cream stick respectively.
Tired of telling them, it’s not the DWs fault. I know your kids load the DW you need to get a grip.. had enough, it’s only 1030 on Monday morning and got a cr!p week with two family funerals back to back in opposite ends of the country to boot!!

Time for a cup of tea… and breath…

Get called out to a zanussi zwg7120k washer not taking fabric softener try to explain the dispenser needs changing she starts having a argument with me it shouldn’t do this try telling her it’s her fault not having none of it, in the end I walked away from the repair as she wanted me to guarantee she would never have the same problem again 😡 😡

customers that cry when you say the parts will be here tomorrow for you.. they think the world is going to end. they only booked the call 2 hours ago. They think we keep every possible pcb in stock… twats

they buy cheap sheeeite — then its all the usual comments

i paid cash for this

its only 3 weeks old

my last one lasted 10 years

are these any good

Install their own kitchen – appliance feet trapped under laminate flooring, hoses concealed along with supply taps behind the sink unit – then proudly demonstrate their diy skills as I wait for them to remove flooring strips, disconnect the sink from the plumbing below and lift the entire worktop away in order to provide access. Too right when they remark that it’s lucky they haven’t got round to installing the granite worktop yet. Then everything gets put back the same way as I write out the paperwork, collect payment, and leave. Will they learn the lesson I wonder?

Annoying things customers say or do… 10 yrs on

You offer them, I can fit you in sometime today, can you let me have make type and fault, Cx, Im not at home at moment, i will have to send it through later!!
Oh can you give me time as i might have to walk the dog ill have my mobile with me so call me when outside im only 15 mins away! Then I have to collect kids from school so i will be out from 12-1 and again from 2.30 -4 then out 530-6 to collect after school club!

Can you come and look urgently i need my dishwasher fixing, when did fail? abou three weeks ago still full of dirty water, Ive sealed it up as it stinks, Im only home today as Im off with sickness bug! Yeah right!

I have arrived at cutomer home before where customer answers and says, oh someones already been and sorted, sorry my partner must have booked someone as well!! Ive got your number so if it goes wrong again I call you!

You couldnt make this stuff up!
