Hi everyone I don’t know if anyone is still monitoring this thread but first to answer Neely67 there is a pack of the capacitors you need for sale here
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/whirlpoo … repair-kit.Now my problems. I have a S20B-RWW20-A/G Whirpool side by side American style fridge /freezer.The ice maker stopped working a few years ago then there was an intermittent clicking from the back for the last two years. But both fridge and freezer were working fine so I left it alone. Then last week the clicking became continuous and the front panel freezer indicator started flashing two green dashes and completely lost temperature. I found this site and read most of the posts on the 50 or so pages and decided to replace the capacitors on the rear board.Bought a set from Bitsbox soldered them on connected the board and all that happened was the fan kept running continuously. The front still shows two dashes. I replaced the new C1 cap with the old C1 cap as I had read that this controls the Condenser, connected up and the condenser and fan ran for about 3 seconds then the clicking started again and after about 30 minutes stopped, the front still showed two dashes. I then replaced the old C1 cap with the new C1 and connected up and nothing no fan no condenser nothing, the front panel however is showing 18.I now have decided to try a new RT314024 relay which is the component which is clicking.Any comments or advice would be appreciated thank you.

Hi Folks,
Got an S20D RSS33-A/G
I’ll save you a story and list the problems.
Freezer at -22 water pipe to dispenser froze, cleared this but happened again.
1 year later, water now frozen but clicks if attempted to pour.
Ice works but makes unit click a lot. (currently off now)
Unit does click at times but not as much as when using ice maker.
Engineer came out, said need a new freezer door and to put up with clicking, turned temp down to -18. (£54) which I now have had refunded.
After a lot of reading it sounds like rear board?
can someone confirm so I can have it fixed.

KeymasterRe: Whirlpool American Fridge Freezer broken down – help!
Yes it will be the board but both front and rear must be compatible with each other

PC boards can be repaired AND re programmed for any model regardless of production date and original settings.

Hi Folks,
Have replaced ALL the capacitors a couple of times over the years to fix various problems, most recently a couple of months ago.
Recently noticed to compressor running continuously and no air flow from the grille. Everything else seems ok, but the condensor fan not working. Contol board only outputting 160V. I have the fan hotwired to the mains supply for now – any ideas which capacitor/relay is the culprit?
Rgds

Hi
I realize this is way after your post but I had a problem with our Whirlpool american side by side where the fridge started to get warmer and the fault light was flashing and beeping.
I cleaned the element under the unit that was caked in dust and fluff plus we cleaned the door seals with warm soapy water, checked the fan which seemed fine and after approx 24 hours hey presto the fault cleared and the fridge is working fine.
so far so good.

What a useful board!
So, the fault my Whirlpool FF (model 858615815040) has is a double dash on the fridge display side, with the freezer display stuck at -24. Neither of the temp change buttons works, although fridge side is relatively cold, if not quite cold enough. Freezer side works.
There was the usual symptom of chattering capacitors so I bought the repair kit and changed them all. My soldering skills are a little basic but all seemed to go okay. Turned it back on and everything worked fine for about two minutes, during which I was delighted that I’d fixed it. Then various error messages flashed (CF; d; and a phone symbol). Turned it off and on again and the display is back to exactly how it was before, with no error symbols showing
I re-checked soldering, refitted a few Cs which were not v neat, but no change.
So, what next? I am thinking maybe something else on the board is at fault and that I’m going to have to replace the whole thing. But before I spend the money on a reconditioned board from the chap on eBay, I want to be reasonably sure that’s the source of the problem. Why did the fix work but then fail after a couple if minutes? Could the problem be elsewhere?
Thanks in advance for any help

Another one FRSS 2VAF20/0 8586 402 15000
Fingers to remove ice from ice maker stop when they touch the ice. Seems to stay like this with a grinding type noise. Checked heater resistance @287 ohms. Motor @20400 ohms. Can any one tell me if these numbers are correct?July 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm #142636Natehall

I realise this is an old Thread, but I could really do with some help, I have read most of the pages and not sure what the problem is still.
Our S20C FWW20-A/G (8586 155 15001 && 11 0419 000566) has started to trip out the household mains RCD, from reading through all of the information I can find we can only assume its either the Heater element or the compressor, now last year the boards were repaired and have worked faultlessly for the last 12 months or so, and now its broken.
I have measured the continuity of the defrost heater in place, 85.6 ohms between the two plugs of the heater element, and no continuity to ground, the cooler elements next to it have 0 ohms to ground though (not sure if this is as should be)
Im really not sure what has gone wrong with this, could do with it working as were having to buy milk and fridge perishables day to day at the minute, and dont have the spare money to replace it for a couple of months as this is our quietest time of the year in our business..
