With Smeg /De dietrich type appliances always insist on an unreasonable call slot ,Had one yesterday ” I work from 7am – 8pm so you will just have to call on Sunday ” After being informed that we would not be calling on Sunday ,He gets the right hump and and says, you’ve guessed it … ” then you can bring me a new one ” 🙄
We refered him back to Smeg

KeymasterIt’s because they bought an upmarket machine and they think the world revolves around them.
I wouldn’t bother so much at times but the rates paid for warranty service do not reflect the service expected by that type of customer. Most of them come around in the end though, I’ve rarely been beat by one. 😉

Oh! Dave’s into Induction Hobs now eh 😉 Only a few weeks back he’d never heard of them 😆
Actually, they are pretty darned neat. The first one I saw demonstrated, the guy put 4 large icecubes on the hob and on top of them he placed a 6 inch square asbestos tile and sat the pan on that, then hard boiled an egg for 10 minutes. The ice cubes had not melted!……..Pretty cool demo I reckon 🙂

P.S. Tell your customer she must use ice cubes next time she boils a pan 😆

…..attempt DIY repairs when they have absolutely no idea what they are doing.
My collegue here, Don, took a phone call from a customer who has a Zannussi washer overheating and assumed he needed a new motor as he was under the impression the heat generated by the the motor was somehow transfered to heat the water in the drum :rotfl:

I just love ” Teachers” they normaly buy the cheapest products, think they have brought the best, ( they have done the research). Complain like hell when it goes wrong, then demand that you the repairer will call of an evening, or the weekend but not Saturday as they will be out but Sunday is fine as long as it is betwen 10am and opening time at the pub, and when you say NO, they demand this because they are teachers and if you will not acceed to their times then they demand you bring a replacement.
My father was a teacher for many years until his retirement and like 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of all teachers exist on a different planet to the rest of us
Those can do those who can,t teach

….arrange to be in “After 1pm”. Travel 22 miles to the call, get there at 2:45pm and find she is out!………………..When she calls me at 7 p.m that evening after finding my ‘Out Card’ on the coconut matting, simply says…”Sorry about that but I had chance to do a bit of overtime, so I couldn’t pass that up!”
When I went back today fixed the machine and charged her ‘Double Call-Out’ she said, “Oh Dear, that’s cost me more than doing the overtime, silly me!”
