went to a similar model a few weeks ago and the tacho was reading about 5 ohms,presumable shorted inside the winding, the tacho was available from connect at about £3 but was a special order.

this is the part number that i kept getting but connect say they are a cylinder bag and the customer says it is a upright vacuum.
