Thanks for your help, we’ll have a look when we get time. What are these spin bursts and spin rinses?

Sorry, i was’nt slagging off Hoover. Thanks for the super quick reply! How do we get to the PCB unit, and if we could get a spare, how much would they be or would it be more sensible putting the money into a new machine?

Well, yeh, that is true, but that doesn’t help us fix it despite us not even knowing whats wrong with it.

    Re: Hoover washing machine overheats

Okie dokie, the machine ’tis getting worse! On one of the cycles that previously worked, the number 7 Woolens, overheated, drained and stopped halfway though the cycle with all the lights flashing in unison, with every program apart from the cool and quick washes getting too hot, it will soon be a matter of time, before these go faulty too.
    ‘Tis absolutely rubbish ’tis Hoover!

    Anyone, please help.

Stoves and New World are British manufacturers and they’re great. We had a built under gas double oven for around 5 years, and it never gave us any grief, unfortunately we moved house and coudn’t take it with us because we don’t have gas here.

Re: Any Hot and Cold fill machines??

As i said in the last post, is that unfortunately many washing machines are only cold fill only, but there is a good reason, is that machines use less water and less electricty to heat it up. Also cooler temperatures are the norm nowadays, and help to get clothes cleaner as biological detergents work at a lower temperature, so theres good reason why thery’re not hot fill anymore.

Miele are good for washing machines especially their Prestige Plus machine, which as don said come with a 5 year warranty, they’re well known for their reliability, so i’d also suggest the G977 dishwasher and the KD1450 fridge freezer. As for your oven, Cannon, Belling and Stoves are still reliable brands for ovens.

    Re: VAX Cyclonic Upright Vacuum

Right, okie dokie. We used it for the first time yesterday, and after 5 mins of using, there was a burning smell, just like a burnt rubber smell. I then switched it off and i saw smoke coming out from the underneath, could this be the belt i have just replaced, and what could this problem be?

    Re: Hoover washing machine overheats

overheats on a 40 degree wash, so temperature reduction won’t exactly work, but we’ll give it a try. If the timer was the problem, how much would it be to replace?
