Will certainly do that Penguin thanks for the advice. I some how feel like part of me has been turned to the darkside.

Guess we will have to trust it untill we get a new one.

It’s missing a detergent drawer front, the start button and the instructions, do you do the spares here and where can i get the instructions (despite it looking easy to me, my folks aren’t as quick with technology, they can only just set the videorecorder.)

Yep, that sounds right, i’ll just have to trust it. I can’t believe that we’re going to have an Indesit in the house, a turn to the darkside- getting mindwashed by the enemy.

What are they like for effciency, they more energy saving than our Hoover and are they noiseyer than our Hoover?

Re: placing a dishwasher on top of a washing machine

I agree with the other guys. Its a daft idea, and not safe, no matter how stable the machine below is. Laws of physics say that when something is top heavy and rather tall, it is on the risk of tipping over. Dishwashers seriously weren’t meant to be stacked on top of washers, and unless your 6 feet tall, it will be impossible to reach the top basket, and reaching in to replenish the salt.
    Highly dangerous and unreccomended. :nono:

    Re: New washer dryer

What? Hoover actually have a higher end range? No, it can’t be possible not with all the junk we get. Just to point out, is that washer dryers with a large dry load are utterly pointless, as they take ages to dry rather than 2 halfs which don’t take long to dry.

Suedehead, AEG machines are built in Germany, not Italy, where Zanussi’s are built.

    Re: New washer dryer

Zanussi’s are quite decent, their about middle range, and will give you better service than the Servis, Hotpoint, Hoover/Candy, Indesit and Ariston tat.

If you can stretch to a grand, you can get a Miele one, which are the ‘Rolls Royce’ of washer dryers and have a full 10 years warranty.

This might not be of any use, but i know with the Miele machines that have load sensors, is that the weight sensor gets thrown out of balance due to a load already in the machine before its switched on, also Miele weight sensors need to be callibrated before use, and if they become corrupted they need to be re-callibrated. I persume this will be the same with all machines with weight sensors, try your manual.

Have you been on the Whirlpool site? You’ll need to enter the commercial code, which is found on the silver service sticker.

Stoves are absolutely brilliant. We had a Stoves gas built in oven and hob and they performed very well. Stoves are still a British company, manufacturing their products in Merseyside.

only 5kg, thought it would be something like 4.5kg. Will a 6kg capacity manage a thickish double sized fleece blanket, 2 pillows and summer tog single and double duvets, (not all at once obviously)?

Were these New Waves top of the range in their day?
