Re: Servis M6802W and large capacity washers

Large capacity machines are just a damn con. Again, the way they wash is with the agitation, a big duvet isnt going to be cleaned by the agitation. This is why we always take ours to the laundrette or the drycleaners. But even a standard 6kg machine should be capable of fair-size loads of clothes, fair enough if you’re trying to wash a small blanket or thin summer tog duvet.
As for Servis, i wouldn’t give them a second thought

    Re: Most ridiculous part price

Just to get this thread going again, How about this one. For a basic AEG white gas hob, the small ignition cap, £15!! And to pee me off even more is that it wasnt even the proper part.
    Shame you Kenberne of Doncaster

Re: AEG Washing machine will not pump out

If it the impellor doesnt spin, when the machine is on, it maybe time for a new pump.

Failing that, it could be another number of problems, but slightly more serious. It could be the timer, which is not deciding to pump out the water, or it may be that the pump is knackered. Take a look here to see if your pump looks like any of these http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/index.ph … 24_593_631

Re: AEG Washing machine will not pump out

This might be one of the old Aeg machines. The filter should be a dial that you screw out, and a mesh holds all the fluff and coins and all that stuff. Usually they can be found behind a panel on the body of the machine, but failing that, it could be hidden behind the kickstrip. But Aeg machines have always had a filter so you should be able to find one.

Re: AEG Washing machine will not pump out

It could be a few things but the most obvious things i can think of, are whether the filter needs cleaning, or whether the pump impellor is blocked before replacing the pump. Power off before investigating.

Must of forgot to put that, but they have honestly had it for 2 years, under light commercial use too, and no problems.

Because hoover have gone downhill eversince candy bought them out, i’d consider buying another hoover, if it was actually a ‘hoover’

    Re: Oh no!

Yeh, which it is, try the search, and type ‘Hoover Overheats’ then you’ll see. That was a replacement 15 years ago for the same machine which did the same thing.

And, they’ve even been using it for a commercial purpose too, for sanitising the aprons and towels they use for their bar as well as their many clothes.

    Re: Oh no!

Can you not read Suedehead, they’ve had it for a couple of years and its never broken down on them. My old Hoover is kinda great but we’re not getting a new Hoover, they’re not even British, they’re Italian, just like this Merloni job we’re getting.
