    Re: Maytag AAV2200AGW

    Thanks Don

I’ve got a feeling that I’m going to have to go back with a better pitch and try and sell a front loader instead.
She’s got a swimming pool and a home cinema down stairs so maybe I should look at selling her a new matching dryer as well!!

Are these big top loaders now a thing of the past? Most large machines seem to be front loaders now from what I can find. I’m a bit stuck with this one as she has a matching dryer beside it and I can’t budge her into having anything else at the moment.

Apologies….just saw the part about the extra screws with the bearing set and thought it was a different washer.

Not complicated at all. Top and front come off. Disconnect everything as normal including suspension legs. Drum out. The tub has some lugs around it which needs removing. I just knock them off with a cold chisel but you could cut them off with a dremel etc. The screws that come with the kit just slot into the spare holes when you put the tub back together. Never had to change a drum support on one but you will need to check it when you have it out. Dave

If you get no luck give wastecare in Halifax a call on 077606169937. Can’t remember the name of the bloke but he’s quite helpful. They refurbish Bosch, Miele and John Lewis appliances for the most and hold plenty of spares. They have another place in Normanton near Castleford which may have one too. They only look for about £20 for a Bosch motor so shouldn’t be after much more for a Miele one especially if you are splitting it. Hope this helps…Dave

Only Miele parts I usually change are motor brushes and door seals which I get from connect. Never thought to check with them… thanks for the number. Dave

    Hi mate
As far as I’m aware, they went bust before Xmas. One of the lads that worked for them told me. Used to use them for whirlpool parts which were well priced…

I read that but thought it would be EVO2 which there is nothing.

Part number is 763738699 if anyone ever needs it. Seems to have a weak point where the door opening button is attached to the panel.

    Hi
After it carrying out every function on test mode, I thought it had to be the pcb. Second visit, after PCB change not going to plan I tested the heater, motor and thought I’d checked the pressure switch. Went armed with a pressure switch this morning and it now works. Can’t identify a problem with the old one but will have another look at it tonight. The machine works now which I guess is the main thing.
    Thanks for all the input…
    Dave
