ParticipantRe: ISDAL
I phoned Dave Heighton and asked WTF. Told me he has had a busy time so far on the phone!
He rabbited on about poor updating from repairers and poor performance.
Kettle/Pot etc. Considering they were slow in paying, and are no too bloody clever themselves.

They are not shown on any exploded pictures, but anyone in the trade would recognise which ones as soon as they see the old ones.

Well it didn’t take long and this Julian Radley has managed to fleece some of the users of the forum, got paid by SES for work he never carried out, took the money then closed down the operation.
Poor old Jonah from Exeter summed it up really by saying he should look at the forums more often.
What can I say except for the fact that alone justifies the reasons for being part of this.
This Radley guy is a crook!

There are several threads running on this guy. All share the same sentiments
Take a look here:- MJH Aftercare
Taking it further.
I done a Linkedin search. Interesting:This guy has had more things dissolve in his care than a drunk reaching for the Alka-Selzer……

MJH Aftercare predominantly carry out work for Specialised Electronic Services who operate from Redditch in Worcestershire. Very helpful and approachable.
SES pay MJH etc.
The potential issues has been well documented on here and I thought most had taken the decision to cut out the middle man. Especially in the light of requests to “bump up” the job value, as well as some common denominators and previous history & association.
Hope that helps.

Well the problem can’t be with SES whom MJH are invoicing as I work direct for SES and I’m paid by BACS within 10 working days.
Maybe worth trying to see if MJH were paid, and are slow in releasing to you?

on the other hand whats wrong with dsg making any announcement ?
allyWhat is the point in that?
No reason at all for DSG to tell us, if the deal has been done then sadly for Repaircare the onus is on them to tell us..

ParticipantRe: *** Feb Whitegoods Conference ***
A really worthwhile event.
Thanks are due to all those that organised the whole event.
In particular Lawrence who acted as m.c. Ian Dales who was flitting everywhere, Stephen who was arranging logistics, furnishing and photos, Ken for being Ken. The ladies who were making sure all the right things were in the right places, and dealing with registration. The hotel staff who looked after the visiting delegates on the day as well as those that stayed overnight.
One thing that seemed ironic. There seems to be a perception this event in the past was a glorified booze up. There was very little alcohol consumed Thurs night, yet the bar ran out of oxygen and could not dispense some beers. It didn’t matter, we convened into another area and we sat down & chatted.
All in all, a brilliant affair, and long may it continue.

Interesting, I haven’t had a phone call, possibly they realise I may well turn it down.
I wonder who is doing it in this area as I believe the local 0800 guy has since departed.

I had the same spin from Dave Highton regards the bank change.
I posed a question, if there is a change of banks why were we not notified so we could make payments into what would be new & proper account? (I’m not on contra)
Furthermore, I (Stupidly) paid up to 31 Dec on 1st Feb into the only account I have details of, being the one they supposedly stopped using. So I put it to D.H. clearly that account has money in it, and some of it is mine, so it stands to reason the account still being live and there is no reason why we should not be paid, I have suggested the excuse does not stack up.
I have told him the calls on the system that arrived yesterday will remain unbooked, and Mon pm all booked calls will be getting a call, unless I’m paid. Not a threat I told him, but a tactic.

ParticipantRe: Feb Meeting 2012 – General Trade
I am quite looking forward to this event.
It is encouraging to see a large number of anticipated attendees, and even better regards the interest shown by companies and work providers.
In these days of diminishing markets, servicing handling companies on the increase and others who have tried to devalue this business, it may be good to see input and interest from fresh operators that are emerging, or already out there but whom we as repairers do not normally associate with. Part of the reason I suppose they are going to be there on site, is because they are interested in us, and I would like to think they would like to see what we have on offer. I’ve always found the DASA meetings rewarding in a similar manner.
We have the skills and expertise, and in the light of Comet redundancies there will be more of us out there chasing the same job. Therefore I hope this meeting will give us a great opportunity to meet up with some old names from the past, and new ones who are growing.
Word of mouth does well when there is a certain job to be done, but sometimes a chat over coffee makes all the difference.

ParticipantRe: comet
Had a Comet engineer on the phone earlier looking for a job. All engineers are to be dispensed with along with the direct service operation. Seems like he will be available after end July.
I don’t know if they are sworn to secrecy as he would not give me his name, and was withheld. He did say he would call again once it becomes official. It is anticipated a timescale of approximately 3 months to dispense with the current operation and finalise the H.R. related matters.
All current warranty work will go back to manufacturers, didn’t say about the extended warranty plans though.
There is no point in anyone instructing these guys to keep it to themselves; after all they need to get a job, and any that jump ship in the interim will get nothing.
However he did tell me that despite several years of service the probable pay-out would be the bare minimum.
