    Re: F&P Smartdrive GW701-U problem

You have no option but to replace the stator with a new one which F&P will send you if you phone 1300 650 590.

It is beyond comprehension how this could have occured so I would remove the rotor and spin the bowl to check that the bearings are not damaged/noisy.

Also there should be no rust/water marks on the rotor.

A list of the fault codes would also be advantageous as would a Fax No. or email

You guys seem to get a lot of work from work providers and insurers.

Assuming you go to 2 jobs that normally the consumers would expect to be covered under warranty, insurance or be billed by a third party for whom you work and probably have fixed rates.

If the first job you go to is a standalone refridgerator that easily pulls out to do a repair and then you go to a second seperate job with a built in refridgerator that requires removal of a door and from a plinth (ie cupboard with base and kick plate), to do the same repair, do you get extra money from the manufacturer, work provider or insurer for the second job for the extra time to remove and reinstall the built in refigerator, or do you charge the consumer for the extra time, or do you absorb (wear) the extra costs.
