The light itself may be the switch.

The uk boys will advise when they come on line

    Cheers from Oz

Never turn a thermostat up and down within 10mins as turning the compressor on immediately after turning it off will cause compressor lock up with possible loss of compressor

The temperature hould be -18 deg Centigrade.
The super freeze button runs the compressor constantly for extra cooling.
Turn the superfreeze off and adjust the thermostat once every 24 hrs until -18 is obtained (+/- 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d})

Large Condenser Dryers are rare and are therefore dealt with differently.
    Samll hoover dryers?
I open the door and put my hand in including my elbow locking my hand up at the top off the drum.
This effectively gives a Bionic feel to your arm and just by moving your shoulder joint you can lift the whole machine and set it down on the floor.
For years I’ve been going to design a table the likes of which I think Martin posted a picture.
Its top would be Pneumatic or Ratched up to a suitable height. It’s material would be Aluminium.
It would do for Ovens primarily

    To the Consumer
    The message is clear
    Don’t buy Servis

    To the Repairer
    The Message is clear
A little bit of judicious water damage

You get your call out fee and a small profit instead off a loss
The Customer gets a new machine
The insurance company loses their loot
The manufacturer is made to pay for their fraud

The water and soap (primarily moisture) is a common cause of failures in electronic machines.
Manufacturers generally do no “Tropic proof” the electronics ensuring early failure.
Always run a machine in a warm dry environment.
Always turn machine off at wall.
These switches corrode because power is always supplied to the switch and with moisture present and the resistance within the switch, a small heating effect (like having an element on) will occur and corrosion (rust) will occur.
Its a bit like having a steel ship.
On the desert the metal being dry will last indefinitely.
At the coast the moistue will attack the metal
In the water the moisture, the chemicals (salt) electricity (Eddy currents produced even by the steel rocking through the Earths magnet field) will cause immediate and destructive corrosion.

I was strictly referring to the parts wholesalers who try to extract the most profit per part sold to the reseller.
There’s is a sale of consumables like cornflakes.
Sales is their business and repeat sales is their future.

A trade only forum containing a chart that shows the cheapest common parts will help the independant trade to purchase at the best price.
Similarily a chart showing what different work providers pay will also negate their policy of divide and conquer.
Also a Public forum chart showing faulty brands
Personally I can’t save the world so I don’t care what crap they put on the market at what margins.
The best I can do to prevent the crap by informing consumers
This is what they are afraid of with this forum.

    Service to the customers:
Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart., the worlds biggest retailer, explained his ethos on their pricing philosophy.
I bought an item for 80 cents. I found that by pricing it at $1.00, I could sell three times
More of it than by pricing it at $1.20. I might make only half the profit per item, but
because I was selling three times as many, the overall profit was much greater. We
lowered our mark up but earned more because of the increased volume. (Quote taken
from http://www.walmartstores.com/wmstore.jsp, article entitled, .Our Pricing Philosophy.,
    Sam Walton, 25/11/01.)

My favourite electronics store http://www.jaycarelectronics.co.uk philosphy
“Never let a sale walk out the door”
i.e. It is better to discount to the minimum level of built in profit and make that profit rather than loose the sale and not make that profit

Old engineers are like old rubber hoses:
    They perish.

Old engineers are like old timer mechanisms:
    They stop ticking.

Old engineers are like (Type suitable words here)

The engineer stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

    Step forward now, you engineer,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my Church have you been true?

The engineer squared his shoulders and said,
No Lord, I guess I aint.
Because those of us who carry tools,
    Can’t always be a saint.

I’ve had to work most Saturdays,
At times my talk was tough.
    And sometimes I’ve become depressed,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
    That wasn’t mine to keep.
    Though I worked overtime,
When the bills just got too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
    And sometimes, God, forgive me,
    I’ve wept unmanly tears.

    I know I don’t deserve a place,
    Among the people here.
    They never wanted me around,
    Except to clam their fears.

If you’ve a place for me here, Lord,
    It needn’t be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t Ill understand.

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
    As the engineer waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

    Step forward now, you engineer,
    You’ve borne your burdens well.
    Walk peacefully on Heavens streets,
You’ve done your time in Hell.
