Re: AEG w/m – L16850, Leaks from draw only on 20 min cycle

Hi, are any of the soap box jets partially blocked and squirting at a strange angle? I’ve had this before. On some AEG m/c’s the water compartment selector system can cause this. I have also had to strangle off some of the water presssure in some cases where it’s on the high side.
One is tempted to ask if the m/c is ‘level’ to slightly ‘nose up’ but if it weren’t I would imagine the other progs would be in trouble also.
Only causes of this i’ve had are a small toy ball in the soap drawer, blocked inlet (to drum) hose, disc type detergent tablet across inlet hose aperture, defective water selector system and jets squirting at funny angles. Hope this helps. 😕

    Re: Siemens washing machine WXLS130AFG

    Hi ,

According to the instructions if the childproof lock was on the door would be locked – and isn’t . Neither are any other features / lights showing which should be on if the child lock was on .

As I stated we did not supply the new board ( suspect it has been repaired not replaced ) so we have no instructions on how to configure it . Any one know how ?

Original repairer on holiday , hoping to speak to him when he gets back .

    Thanks

    Servis M6500S instructions

Hi, that would be great. Any help is appreciated. Do you need me to give you an e/mail address or can you pick it up through Whitegoods?
    Thanks Bob.

Re: Help! Need Servis user manual

Hi Rob, customer says it seems to have a mind of it’s own when it comes to starting the programme. She says she would like a manual but swears on ten bibles that she didn’t get one.
I have told her to:- a) Turn off the power. b) Count to ten.
    c) Select ‘STOP’ d) Turn on the power. e) Select chosen programme.
    f) Select any additional options. g) Add powder/soft wash. h) Press start.

Hope her faith in me is well placed

Thanks for all the help on this one chaps, especially to Jim. It was in the tech. spec. that Jim sent to me that the answer lay. I was totally unaware of the three hour ten minutes time span of prog. ‘B’. I thought the machine had ‘stuck’ but it was just doing what it should. Thanks again, Bob

    Re: hotpoint wm75

Thanks Dave, nearest Hotpoint can get for a user manual on their site is for a dishwasher! Why am I not surprised?
Apparently there are error codes ranging from E10 to E31 according to Hotpoint, but there are none showing.
Jim sent me some tech spec for this model and the ‘B’ prog drags on for approx 190 minutes (3hrs+), just wondering if I’ve waited long enough before deciding that I’ve got a problem.
    Thanks again, Bob

    Re: hotpoint wm75

    Thanks for speedy replies chaps,
Hot valve is fine, have checked actual operation by disconnecting and rigging up a seperate supply. No error codes at all, even after leaving it tumbling a long time. Will try wet test on Monday. Will also try changing from 40deg to 60deg to see if that helps.
I take it button ‘A’ is horizontal extreme left, and button ‘C’ is next but one?
I can’t seem to pull up instructions for this model on their website, does anyone know where I can find them?
    Cheers Bob.

Re: Hotpoint WD420 Door locking but no door lock light

Thanks lads, fault turned out to be a bad termination on one of the brush connector terminals of the harness. This would appear to be a Hotpoint in-house quality problem. Had to look really close before you could see it, but it was open circuit. 😀

Thanks everyone for your input. I Will get to this machine tomorrow and the first thing I’ll look at will be the brushes. I will let you all know what I find. Thanks again.

Re: Soap Powders & Technology Training

Hi We would be interested, again it depends on where and when. Detergents seem to be working at lower and lower temps. these days, are we close to cold wash only technology?
