“you are about as much use as a handbrake on a boat.”
A favourite of mine: you are about as much use as a one legged man in an arse kicking contest….

ParticipantRe: Female logic???
I thought it was just me these things happened to.
Had a woman in Gifnock Glasgow on Monday. Now I live some twenty miles from there so phoned her as I was leaving to say my ETA would be in the next two hours. Arrived there to find no one in. Phoned her again on the mobile She explained she did not think I would have been so quick but to hold on as she was only ten minuets walk away. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

eastlmark wrote:Yeah, being asked to call customers either on mobiles .
How much do you add on to the invoice for said calls? For every call made to a customer I charge £1.00 plus VAT This goes on to the bill. Sometimes it takes six or seven calls. All these calls are relevant as most people have an answer machine and when it kicks in know doubt you will have incurred some cost.

ParticipantRe: AEG Tumble dryer
Ah! the joy’s of being to lazy to hang out me washing.
Thanks for that, £48 is better than a new unit. But to be on the safe side i will change the other two stats as well. That should keep it going for another couple of years. Come to think of it i got it for nothing anyway……….. 😀

What happens with these fixed price service schemes when they come out and your appliance is uneconomical to repair. Do they still get away with taking the full Monty. Hotpoint Potterton etc.

ParticipantGot to agree with you Ken. This Web site and the forum board have been the biggest kick in the A$$ to the whitegoods industry I have seen in thirty years. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!!
