ParticipantAndy sorry I haven’t got back to you been a bit groggy recently. I managed to get to the front fan which was wobbly. I tried my hardest to undo it ready for ordering a new fan but I couldn’t get it to budge. I had a socket set on it with an extension but it wouldn’t budge. I decided that after reading how much more economical the heat pump fryers are and the replacement pump about £30 I called it a day and gave it the scrap man. I am grateful for your advice kind regards.

ParticipantI don’t want to be a nuisance and I don’t like keep asking but I’m pretty reasonable at mechanical things and have a good selection of tools, that’s alright but if I can’t fathom out how to get it I’m screwed. I have found a replacement at ransome spares, unless of course you sell spares. I wondered if there was anywhere I could get a guide to replacing the fan without bothering you all the time. I’ve looked on YouTube a few videos but not for my machine, I don’t even know what make it is

ParticipantIt definitely sounds like the front one could you offer any tips on how to get to it. When I open the front filter, I can see 2 screws top and bottom of the fan vent. Cheers ta

ParticipantThanks very much for the information. Do have any idea what it would cost to have the job done, or is it a job I could do myself, do I get to it from the side or the front/back

ParticipantThanks for the comments Dave it seems I did a pretty stupid thing so on the basis it seems to be working is it a case of putting a proper load and then see what happens. Which machine in your opinion is worth considering heat pump or not,?

ParticipantI just thought it would indicate if the sensor was working OK. As I said in my previous message I put a damp towel in to try, everything seemed OK but it didn’t turn. It was on for 20 minutes and the towel want very damp.

I have just had a thought and decided to put a cup of water into the drum and try it,,, it works fine, forward and reverse, motor sound normal all lights are normal. There must be something not quite right somewhere, any ideas please I was going to look at some this weekend but I dont want to spend a load of money if I dont need to, things are hard enough without this.regards Russell..

ParticipantHello Dave nice communicating with you again. I tried it empty, then pushed the drum round 2 turns, it started but then stopped after a couple of turns.

ParticipantHello Dave thanks for getting back to me. I gave the machine a good check last night after reading some comments on the internet, I started by unplugging the dryer from the power socket sometimes this has worked when having problems on other items. I then put a very wet tea towel in and started the machine. it tumble for about 20 minutes, the blue light didn’t come on, I turned the machine off, the tea towel was wet through and I couldn’t feel any heat inside the drum..
In desperation.I ordered a new heater and it arrives tomorrow I’m just hoping I can manage to fit it, if that doesn’t make any difference, I think I will hang myself,,, ONLY JOKING 🙂
