I am 78 years of age and dread the thought of having to buy a new one. I would be very grateful for any advise… Thank you

I should mention that I clean the filter at the bottom regularly and have checked that it is clean, the door filter is also clean, the water tank is empty.

have not had this fault yet so only going by tech info

not sure without looking it up but does this unit have a timed dry programme. if so it may work on that as it may not need to use this sensor

I have tried it on a 20 minute dry, it works but no heat

Hi dave if it is what you have suggested then I think it’s gonna cost me well over £100. I had a fault with it just over a year ago when it was dead.
When the service bloke came, It had to have a new control panel which took him over an hour and seemed to be a cow to get at and put back.So if it is the conductimetric sensor I reckon it might mean a new machine.

I have had a look at the heater and done a continuity check on the elements and what I think are the thermostats both seem ok, but I have ordered a replacement from Ransons which I can return if not used. I ordered one just in case my testing identified a fault to save time on postage. My wife is going barmy having 2 daughters as well makes it difficult without the dryer… Can you tell me Dave if the fault is the part you mentioned would the elements still heat up when I turn it on.
I have stood at a safe distance with the elements visible and turned the dryer on but they dont warm at all.

Thanks for,the reply but,I didn’t expect anyone to start advising me to mess with a gas appliance I just wondered if someone on this forum new enough to just advise if turning it off/on would help.
Rather than call an engineer out to do just that..
