ParticipantThe heater comes with the pump doesn’t it? Or are they 2 separate items?

ParticipantHello Dave, thank you for your reply. I’m no electrician so unsure how I test the heater. The last 2 digits are 11 and I’ve looked on the Bosch website and the pumps are £165 so cheaper than £1000 to replace it with a good dishwasher. Thinking about biting the bullet and risking just buying the pump/heater and swapping it out. Is this a good idea do you think before testing the heater? I’ve an electrician friend who may be able to talk me through it….
tTank you Peter

ParticipantHi Dave, the pump works fine and appears to have no blockage as the first thing I do in the morning is turn it off, back on again, start a new cycle until it drains then reset it then turn it off ready for the next wash later that day. Everything is clean. Just water in the bottom at the end and an E25 error message. Any advice would be grateful….

ParticipantSo is that a “get the professionals in” job? I’m not sure how these things work but I assume it rinses, drains, hot washes, drains and then dries? If that is the sequence it drains first but fails to on the final drain and the error occurs after about 2 hours of a 2:20 wash. Thanks Pete

ParticipantThanks Don, I’ve cleaned the filter area and washed it as well as I can, the seal around the door is in good condition and not too dirty too. I’ve not checked the waste pipe though so will do that. Is it likely to smell? If it does should I pop the pipe deeper into the waste pipe so it sits in the water of the u-bend or is there a chance it might suck out the water from the u-bend which will introduce some more lovely (if different) odours…

ParticipantOK thanks Dave

ParticipantOK. Any simple way of testing the bits individually as I’ve spoken to Miele and the whole thing is just under £200 but individually the thermostat and relay is about £40 each. Rather than buying the whole thing might be more cost effective if I can test individual bits….

ParticipantDave, Can you help me taking the thing to pieces so i can get the new belt around the drum? I’ve taken top, sides and front off but there is another frama that is holding the drum tight. Cant see a way of loosening it….

ParticipantIt is. Having trouble finding the spare part though. Will speak to Miele on Monday as the usual spares websites don’t appear to stock it…. Thanks Dave

ParticipantI sorted the above problem. Basically the air vent to outside was suck shut so no vented air could escape. I’ve not got a new problem however….
The Drier turns on and make the usual heating noises but there’s no rotation. Is this something as simple as a drive belt failure or something more sinister?
Thank you Pete

ParticipantReally? OK, I’ll try a different socket then…… thanks
bisebreath
ParticipantThere’s no problem with sockets. I tried it again last night and it starts fine, heats up and dries for about 10-15 minutes but then just totally shuts down as if it’s been unplugged….
