ParticipantI started with just the elbow – it doesn’t fit, the thread is too coarse (I now know the difference between BSP and, I presume, GHT (although it could also be NPT) threads)!
I am guessing the splitters are also GHT as they primarily talk about garden hoses. I have ordered a new elbow and tee that claim BSP in their description. Fingers crossed.

ParticipantForgot to mention, there’s a wall not far too the left of the pipes, which is why it’s difficult to install the new pipe, and I’m thinking of turning the connectors to face me.

ParticipantThanks Guys. Warranty was definitely high up the consideration list.
Managed to have a look round our biggest Currys the other day, John Lewis, and some Euronics. No one had the LGs in stock so we couldn’t compare them. All the places that do have showroom stock seem to be up in the Midlands, and we’re in the South.
We settled on the most expensive Haier in the end, despite the possible issues with build quality over Siemens/Bosch there were 3 selling points to us…
• ALL the combs/tines in both baskets fold flat.
• And extra set of sprayers on the cutlery trays
• TEN years parts AND labour warrant (when bought direct through Haier)We looked at it’s little brother (I still don’t understand how it can get an extra 2 place settings and still be the same size), but it only had 5 years labour (still had 10 years parts). And Bosch, as good as they are, are only offering 5 years P&L. Plus not all the tines fold.

https://www.haier-europe.com/en_GB/products/32002596-xf-6b0m3pda-80The Mrs was drawn to it like a moth to a flame, so there’s an element of Happy Wife, Happy Life too – she wasn’t so keen on the Bosch/Siemens.
Having seen that Currys charge nearly £5/month for an additional plan, that’s £240 over 5 years, which on balance covers the price difference between the 5 and the 7 for the extra included manufacturer warranty, plus the extra features.
It seems a bit weird going from a table top to a full size when there’s just the 2 of us, but the ability for half loads (top or bottom only) compensates for that, and we will finally be able to machine wash all our big oven pans and mixing bowls etc…
I just hope she’s happy with it once it’s installed.

ParticipantWhat I’ve found so far seems quite reasonable, need to check dimensions though…
I suppose the only way to be certain will be too open it up and look.

ParticipantThank you!

ParticipantAll bar the sink coupling. But a normal wash seems to spin out OK.
Presuming the filter is the bit that is at the bottom right of the front of the machine. (next to that sticker with the model number BEHIND THE BLOODY PLINTH :angry4:).
Oh and sorry, I just realised this is in the wrong forum. My bad.

Participantjust wanted to nose through the manual. But now it has been identified, perhaps you might be able to help with a problem (didn’t want to post until I had some idea what the machine was).
If we have been using the Aquarinse Plus feature, it doesn’t appear to spin out all the water. But it does on normal wash. And it used to on ARP.
In fact, on ARP, when we open the door, the stuff is still dripping and plenty of water can be wrung out of the clothes.
I ran a service wash yesterday (probably for the first time in the machines entire life). The wife said years ago (somewhere between purchasing and our meeting, gives 5 years) an engineer told her not to use the soap dispenser. I tried it and it clogged something terrible. So it has mainly been using liquid or tyabs in the drum, but mostly liquid.
It will probably require a couple more, but it is smelling fresher :).I also emptied the crap trap tonight. PITA having to remove a plinth that runs the length of the entire kitchen though. Typical B&Q no thought design I spose.

ParticipantAnyway I could get a manual for it.
And thanks for the quick ID
I didn’t think it would be that easy for you.carrot
Participantforgot to mention it was purchased around 1999
and has a 2 minute safety lock from when the cycle is complete before the door will open
carrot
