Latest..
Repair man came almost straight away, so can’t really fault them.
Diagnosis…. Original fault of just not working, was jammed brush in the motor.
latest problem …..Not heating up.. duff element..
it looks ok with minmal scale, and had away be regularly “kalgoned”.Water leak, split in the door seal.
All common problems, but why ??.
just another wait for the new seal.
Still using our daughters washer. a few miles away, a real pain.
Also according to our repair man the ISE should ?? flash leds to report
error codes, it this correct as ours just does nothing.

Well after our major repair in JAN 09 all has been well .. until today.
the ISE5 just stopped in mid program and won’t go any further.
Powered off for a while ..
switch on it pumps for a few seconds and then stops.
this can be repeated infinitum.Sits with start and wash LEDs illumintated.
Apart from powereing off for a while is there any else we can do before
getting the MAN in !.Still well inside it 5 years warranty.
thanks
Chris ( he who’s getting the earache!!) 😉

Hi thanks for the reply,
Typically the ISE died on a wednesday evening and we could not get a visit til last monday. and as of this moment it still lying in the washhouse, and we’ve had no comms about it. rang yesterday PM and it seems the retailer has made the order for the parts.
The repair man did mention a possiblilty of a temporary machine while the repair is being done ?, really need it now ? but so far my dear wife has to drive 8 miles round trip to use our daughters machine at present .
with all the associated earbashing 😉And yup we have got the full 5 years warranty, my mention of the extendedwarranty was to take it up to 10 years if possible , based on the present experience.
take care
Chris

So far its not even with the old zanussi, it replaced, which did get to nearly 5 years before having its first wobbly. hope its only a 1 off.
or maybe its not what its cracked up to be ???
just for info the drum has got a hole in it ?? .. pretty good (NOT) for a 2 year old machine..ceedy

The list price of the module that is still available is just over £100 ex vat.
Jim.
Thanks again for a quick reply…
Where will I find the serial ?.. this machine is quite naked of any numbers/ labels etc externally .. the only number I can find is on the mains cable input plastic fitting ..

If you have a circuit tester you could see if you can find a trace into the module from the door or On/Off switch. Module is very expensive and indeed is obsolete for some models already. We would need your full serial number to be sure.
Jim.
Hi again ,
thanks for the supply.
The module number is Siemens 5WK57751..
My wife called in local repair man while i was at work ., ( not my choice) ?. he spent 1 hour (£44) to tell us what I aleady knew theres power into but not out of the module, and that would be 200+ ? for a new one if one can be found .. or 84 for a repair that might sort it out.. thats 84 quid even if it can’t be repaired or its not the module thats the problem?. … we declined the offer. 200 quid??? pass the lube !!! 😉
Actually it only measures 125 volts from the power switch to the module , according to my Fluke meter.. so off to have a track of the power feed in from the plug. module looks to have been a bit warm (slight dicolouring of the case around the black transformer ??) but little or no continuity through the transformers?? 8 pinouts..regards
