    Thanks Ken,

Price would be appreciated but I’m sure the part will have to be got(ten) in the long run.

Re: Don’t switch on and leave it running!

    A true story!

A customer of mine used to do just this. Switch the machine on before she left for work, washing ready to hang out when she came home.
On this occasion she came home to her ground floor four inches deep in water and the dog loving the paddling pool.
A tube in the washing machine which supplies the water level sensor had sheared off on the previous heavy spin cuasing the machine to fill constantly the next time it was used………for nine hours.
The up-side……she wasn’t living in an upper flat.
USE IT WHILE YOUR’E AROUND. IT’S AUTOMATIC …..NOT INFALLIBLE!

    Re: Hotpoint Advertise Franchises!

And today I had a CIH member on moaning about Merloni/Hotpoint service as beingvery poor with, in some cases, over two weeks till an initial appointment was met!

I’ve had a customer I went to on the 13th of this month, giving her a quote for £140 on a WMA tub rear and spider, coming back to me because Hotperloni couldn’t come out before the 29th, call booked after 4. Engineer arrived 3.15. Can’t come back until next week, customer on hols.
I’m picking it up tomorrow and it’ll be ready as soon as she gets home.

The customer has voted with her feet and chosen service over cost for this particular job. How many more I wonder??????

    Ally,
Is that the new Vivaro/ Trafic or the old style. The new one is pretty but is it practical. I’ve heard from a vauxhall friend of mine that they blow engines for fun 😕

Depends how you drive it then, ey? 😆

Just hit a site called alibaba which seems to be some kind of exporters list mainly from asia (china etc). Lo and behold the main machine they seem to list regardless of manufacturer is………plastic cab twin tubs and top loaders. Wait till Merlopeless hear about this. 😆 😆

    And another one…

Transit brackets again while I was at Hotpoint (before it became sorepoint).
Machine was three days old and flooding. opened it up ( no screws in lid),and found the transit weight still in place and the top of the tub with two wide cracks in it.
“Your’e supposed to take the transit bracket out” Says I
” I did” says She and shows me the lid screws.

    Re: Why do Customers ……….

On a re-call three months later do they say
‘Is it the same fault. Iv’e only used it once since last time you came’ and then go on to tell you ‘I have to wash mums bedclothes everyday you know’

Another call years ago while working for a Hoover agent.
Called to a Logic two days old from currys-no drain.
Customer bought the machine as a surprise for the Missus after she’d been working away.
He’d only put the washer on to test it out and it didn’t drain.
Just as wife walks into kitchen, See’s new machine 😀 .See’s big pair of bloomers pulled from sump hose 👿 .
    EXPLAIN!!!!!!!!
I made my excuses and left
He couldn’t, but later Currys returns got a rocket 😆 😆

    Re: Belling dishwasher IDW60i

    Good and bad!
Fault correctly identified as heater circuit on board (thank you QER) 😀

Erm….Prat of an engineer 🙄 (me) made one of my connection marks on a component that was replaced . 😳
Anyone got a wiring diagram for one of these or know which way round the heater relay (white / brown) wires go.
    😳
