ParticipantRe: Smeg DWI612 E8 error
Had one of these today showing E8.
The query is that whenever I’ve seen the E8 mentioned it happens at the start of the wash, something I’ve seen before accompanied by clicks. This one carries on for 20 or so minutes until it stops and shows the code, same thing every time its tested. Its the three button LCD display one, but in the fault code book there is no E8 shown.
Must admit, I’ve not got it out yet as the silly woman (I know what I saw, I’m not blind :rolls: she said ) reported it as going back to p3 so I had to get her to reuse the programme again until the fault code came back.TC

Got the same fault on the same machine. As the dishwasher is draining there is a constant clicking in the base about once every 2 seconds. I’ve left the customer disconnecting their nice new plinth lights 👿 with wires running everywhere around the legs and not long enough to remove the plinth fully :rolls:. Any info on this would be helpful before I return as it’s a new one on me.

Block and tackle screwed to the ceiling. Careful not to let the cooker swing back and damage the units though, and don’t forget to charge for the polyfilla afterwards!!! 😉

ParticipantRe: S’now joke
What is amazing me is a lot of my customers short memories. Round here it’s a complete rerun of last Christmas and most of my customers seem only to remember that it snowed in January. Luckily in my part of Lancs it’s not too bad, it snowed last Friday and has just stayed.

Phew!!! thought this was a light hearted post when I first started reading it.
Martin, will you pack it in starting these barbed threads it just ends up a depressing mess .
Dill, got to say you’re like a dog with a new toy when you go off on one, you really are a great big conscientious old Hector 😉TC
These were light hearted remarks brought to you by TC and in no way reflect anybody elses opinion on UKW 8)

Had this on the integrated slimeline dishwasher. BFI62 I think. Changed board and worked fine after. Solenoid was constantly energised during the wash.

ParticipantRe: Cooker Repairs
I have an old Hotpoint one, looks like a card table, which they refused to take back when I left in 1996. Done me proud it has. Bit too high for some of the custom height ones though :rolls:

Hopefully he still got to his calls. You know what they’re like when the dryer won’t work in this weather 😉
