Yep had that customer many times.
30 minutes of sat at the kitchen table slamming toolbox and jangling the car keys, kept the clock running though as any good taxi driver would. £20 for doing bugger all 😆
Must admit the last time a customer did this I left her to get on with it and went to my next call down the street.
Twenty five minutes later she got a shock when I knocked on her door for payment AND she was still on the bloody phone 😯

Like my mates say why waste time on the phone when you can discuss it over a beer. 😉

I’m sure if you have a good look round you will find the old knackered bearings.

I’ve found quite a few so far and I’m making myself a catapult for them as we speak 😈

    Oh 😡 Don’t get me going!!1

Couple of weeks ago, was out all day while an order was delivered by DHL from Connect.

They have left a card in the past (my shop is closed now), but this time there wasn’t one. Sends my missus up to their depot (where I’d tracked it to), and she was told due to a problem with the address THEY’D SENT IT BACK????Why? our house is the same address as the shop, just a different letterbox.
Registered a complaint with DHL got nowhere.
(Monday)Let Connect know about it, girk on phone says I’ll register a complaint and reorder it for you
(Thursday) Nothing arrived yet. Ring Connect. Oh we’re about a week behind with complaints…..would you like me to cancel the original and reorder the parts. Considering one part had been out of stock for ages, why not, that’d be jolly nice of you!!!! 👿

Customer didn’t tell me the full story on this one. From telling me that the element and heating side was fine , he now says he didn’t check it.
Stat is out of stock everywhere I’ve looked so far. Are there alternatives. Its inly a two terminal one but a lond phial on it.

    Cheers

He also didn’t tell me he’d smashed the bulb cover when taking it out. The thing was in bits when I got there originally.

If a server will speed things up I’m all for it. Couple of weeks ago was the worst I’ve ever known it for dead spaceand nothing moving. When (as I do a lot) I’m nipping in the office to check emails and whats the latest on UKW, if it’s slow I give up.

😳 Sorry Martin, but who the ****s Fred Karno???????

    Re: Practical jokes.

A mate of mine is addicted to buying cd’s off ebay.
He has a habit of being first to the postbox to check for ‘pressies’.
A particular cd he was anxiously waiting for turned up late and very poorly addressed in a jiffy bag with the foam hanging out with the cd inside smashed to bits and obviously a copy. He went SPARE calling the seller all the names under the sun.
When he’d calmed down I gave him the proper one; I’d met the postie outside and collared his parcel.
Theres a lot of fun to be had jumping up and down on an old Darkness cd. 😉
