Re: Choosing New W/M -Are These Any Good?

Any others to consider, aside form the ones I am already considering? I am happy to pay more than the leaking pile of poop Hotpopint I bought 5 months ago.

Thnaks for your reply. I have cleaned the soap drawer and around it inside, and the roof of the drawer. I also filled the drawer over the sink and it does syphon out. It is spinning fine, and doesn’t smell.
So looks like a new drawer is needed, I will get onto Hotpoint as it’s still under warranty.

PS – I have just watched the machine as it is doing a wash now, and as soon as the water goes into the fabric conditioner section of the drawer, water started leaking out. Should the pressure be turned down some more?

Thanks for your replies everyone. With the Calgon, I meant I was going to put it in the drum, not the drawer, lol.

Touch wood, fingers crossed etc etc, my washing machine doesn’t leak, I have done 6 washes since cleaning the detergent drawer, which I didn’t think was too bad but obviously was blocked with gunk, and fiddling with the water pressure.

So thanks very much for your help 😀

Thanks so much for your help, I have now turned the water pressure down as well, I also think I should get some Calgon or equivalent, as when I took the drawer out some of the holes where the water comes in have limescale on them, looks like the shower head all furred up. Is it true that bicarb of soda is as good as Calgon?

Thanks for your reply, I will try turning the water pressure down. Do you think it’s too early to phone the shop saying it’s a faulty machine?
