Subject: Rumours and untruths – First4Service
Good afternoon,
Yet again I feel left with no other choice than to reiterate our position at First4Service. I have seen numerous posts of scaremongering and untruths which amounts to nothing except insecurities.
Firstly, we have not “lost” the Rangemaster contract. It was a mutual decision to use two networks in orders to maximise the workload and maintain the high standards set by Rangemaster. We have a solid working relationship with Rangemaster and there are no plans afoot to break this partnership.
Secondly, we at First4Service decided against renewing our affiliation with Bush and Cookworks ovens. This was explained in a previous email. We took this decision as we felt that the new terms offered would be detrimental to the existing agreements we have in place with our field engineers. This does not mean that we no longer work for Termikel UK.
Currently we are in discussions with a number of international manufacturers regarding the prospect of taking on a service contract. We will only commit if the terms are right for all parties.
First4service is one arm of many at For4Ltd. Financially we are perfectly ok, so the rumours have no substance whatsoever. If there is anyone who can counter that with unpaid accounts upto 30 days then please do not hesitate to contact me so that this could be rectified.
I am frustrated that I have been forced to reconfirm our position again and I would encourage dialogue in future to ensure that all allegations put out into the public domain are facts rather than fiction. Many Thanks
Jason Bartley

We do quite a bit with them, they seem to be fine, they use the hatchgate system the same as us, so jobs can be easily imported and updates exported.

Qualtex do universal cooker door handles, i’ve used them a few times and they are ok, and only £10.00 so a bargain.

ParticipantRe: JTM & 0800 Latest demand from engineers
they have updated that though:
Photographs of the rating plate will not be expected if:
The appliance is integrated and would need to be removed in order to access the serial number only.
The rating plate has been removed or has worn off. In those circumstances a photo showing where the rating plate has been/should be will suffice.DASLTD
