Yes, but by Connect’s IT department 😉
Defo the right part number and nearly half the price from Masterpart where they have the correct description.
The other part numbers you need are:
6/ Filter – 31X5065 – £33.94
10/ Arm support 31X7776 – £5.31
11/ Spray arm gasket 31X5093 – £3.75
12/ Hub support 31X7777 – £7.91Gimme a shout if you want them ordered at a sensible price 😀

It’s a Brandt so you can get them from Connect or Masterpart.
I’ve just emailed a diagram, if you let me know which parts I’ll post the part numbers up for you. The lower spray arm is not an easy one to pick which bit is which unless you’ve seen it in the flesh as it were and there’s two parts to the filter 😉
Door seal is 31X8271 for starters 🙂

I think it may be coincidental that the control area gets hot to be honest, all the fast freeze does it make the motor (compressor) run constantly which it would do anyway until it reached the correct temperature.
I would leave fast freeze off and let it run, keep the door closed and if the red light is still on in a few hours then there is a problem 🙂

We can’t tell you exxactly how to repair your appliance for legal reasons I’m afraid.
Suffice to say it has to come out of the housing and it’s a screwdriver job from there 😉

The element should have it’s own safety cut-out to prevent boiling dry.
Do they not have the CE mark on them ?

No wiring diagram I’m afraid but looking at the spares list and diagram, this model isn’t electronic, it has a standard thermostat and a defrost timer so no thermistors in it 😉
