ParticipantRe: Look at what your missing
Hi Dave.
As far as I can tell you haven’t sent the forms to Ken for repairs@, you are in the directories though for the NN postcodes.
If you go to the downloads and fill in the repairs@ application form the fax it to Ken it will be done PDQ for you.
I believe you signed the members charter already at the September UKW meeting.
And welcome back to the wonderful world of whiz computer thingys 😀

ParticipantRe: Repair, refund or replace?
In this case the “retailer” is Whirlpool surely as the transaction was between them and the end user ?
Also, concrete dust of this type on Whirlpool washing machines nearly always causes timer failure, when we were agents and discovered any loose upper weights we were advised to replace the timer at the same time to avoid any subsequent problems with recalls 😉

I may have a second hand timer if you can post the numbers off of the timer itself.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint armatures
There’s a post about this somewhere Simon.
I think it’s in the 1603071 armatures no longer available thread, a forum search for either 1603070 or 1603071 should provide the answer 😉

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Condenser TDC30P
I think it’s almost certainly stat related Bryan.
If the relay were at fault the dryer would stop altogether.
There’s a “hidden” one between the drum front support and front panel as well as the two on the heater.

A blockage in the pressure system somewhere I would imagine or possibly a faulty pressure switch ?

ParticipantRe: Weird circuit board fault
To be fair, Smeg on the whole are generally reliable and are certainly one of the better companies to work for.
I think you’ve had a bit of bad luck combined with mis-information on this and I’m hopefull it will be resolved amicably.
Please let us know how you get on 😀

Not if they’re poaching engineers from Independants 😉
So, the Corgi problem is starting to really show itself.
Complacency among some of the WP’s has frankly astonished me on this issue, bury your head in the sand approach and “we’ll cross that bridge when it comes”. Wakey wakey, it’s happening right now !
Sorry, a bit :offtopic:
That’s the first time I’ve used that smiley, and on myself 😆
