Re: Error Codes for Diplomat ADP8332

F4 error is a “not draining” problem, which may not be accurate always to be honest.

Check all the usuals like the filters and drain outlet etc, apart from that you’ll most likely need an engineer.

For your info also, this particular model is made by Whirlpool 😉

Yes, that’s about the right price for those motors 😉

You have to select the grill and larger ring using the oven thermostat, it should be indicated on the knob Kenny.

As it’s a 13A you can only have a combination of large and small plate – small plate and grill or small plate and oven on at any one time.

Possibly the motor itself struggling while under load ?

It’s not uncommon on the to be honest, it my also be the main control unit but that’s less likely.

It’s made by Merloni in Italy for MFI.

Basically the same as a Servis, just integrated, part number for the heater is 524005201 priced at £14.99 ex VAT and postage.

Yes, I think there is, which may be the cause.

Tim, can you confirm the model is LSI61 please.

    Re: British Gas Homecare

Well, it works a bit like this Funky….

Forgive me if I’ve repeated anything 😉

BG and Comet will sit on the sidelines waiting for the Independants that employ school leavers and the like to train them up to a reasonable level then steal them by offering salaries that are beyond our reach.

Once they have them tied in to a work contract that is pretty much a “can’t get out of” situation they treat them like sh*te for 6 months then sack them if they don’t meet expectations or make them work Sundays and generally give them a miserable time until they leave.

The figures you quote in the earlier postings in this thread are unrealistic and unacheavable by virtually all engineers working for either of the above, they simply don’t pay that much, and YES I do know as I have lost to date four engineers to Comet and I know three other guys that went first to Radio Rentals which then became part of BG.

Apart from one guy who worked for me who was an exeptional engineer, all the others have either left to work for themselves, one went to Merloni 😆 the others remain and can’t see a way out, even though they hate working there, the money is reasonable (not exceptionable).

So ends the advert for BG and Comet employment 😉

I would suspect the door interlock personally, — in the display usually indicates that the door is open.

    Re: Hoover WDM130 Water level

The water level will not be the problem 345.

It’s more likely the machine isn’t draining quickly enough, have you checked the filter and the drain hose installation (if it’s a new machine) ?

If it’s overfilling Tim, there is no “reset” solution for this.

Water level is mechanically controlled rather than electronically.

Best bet is ask an engineer to have a look for you in all honesty, have a look at repairs@ and the directories, should be someone here who can help.

Re: HOTPOINT EW91S PART NEEDED ASAP PLZ

As you have the part number, I assume you have already contacted Hotpoint and they have no stock ?

That’s about the only people that would have the item to be honest, I can get one for you from there if required, around £200 delivered.

Have you considered your home insurance ? If you have accidental damage cover you should be able to get this done under that policy.

The thermostat could be faulty, either that or the room is too cold as Mark suggested. Move it to a warmer location and see if it improves, if not, replace the thermostat.

Come back and let us know the outcome 😀

I did, he scanned his BG ID card and emailed it to me, he’s just an employed engineer as far as I can remember, I don’t have the email any longer, as with all of these guys and the Merloni one’s, they are all pretty insistent that the email and it’s attachment is deleted (permanently) so I do once I’ve verified them.

Looks like a BG planted body to me though, interesting thread 🙂
